not exactly but here it goes

back in college i had a gf who i simped for hard, when she broke up with me she went out of her way to wreck my friend group. a few of them still talk but it was split in half, one half only stays in contact to try to make fun of me even though all of their lives are equally or more pathetic than mine, the other I stayed friends with. i had a few relationships, jobs, moved away from my shitty family since her but never really got over the damage. shed tease me with spotify playlists (i know how pathetic that sounds). in late 2018 i really got into /biz/ and really liked the idea of BAT, went all in with around $20k, mostly from holding litecoin during the 2017 bullrun. spent 2019 shit posting but started losing it when it broke btc support and completely missed link until it was $2. ive made some good gains but I would have been a millionaire had I chose link instead. i was really pissed and started sharing details about my life on /biz/, by early 2020 people had figured out who I was, pretty sure people who knew my cousin who I had stayed a few months with. i was making empty threats against her when i deduced from spotify that she had fallen pregnant with her bf, now husband. they contacted her and introduced her to /biz/ and gave her tips on what was going to moon to make her rich through discord channels that i had never joined because i was just shit posting, not realizing the alpha tips were being handed out there. mid 2020 over at /adv/ she admitted to all the times she had cheated on me and i absolutely lost my mind and started making slightly less empty threats. now were here.

she ended up helping with Flow protocol, if you had ever seen a "Fuck you." thread, those were directed at me after i started making empty threats against the link marines in those channels that gave her the alpha tips. i haven't said enough to get me arrested but they tried and are still trying to bait me into saying something that would.

anon, it appears you’re having persecutory delusions and delusions of reference.

if you’re worried about showing signs of schizophrenia, i’d suggest reading up on symptoms and the types of delusions so you can recognize when they’re occurring. Realize that you’re not that important - not all things that happen in life are specifically targeted at you.

it’d be healthy to stop thinking and talking about your ex-girlfriend entirely. as long as you have your shit together, gfs are easy to come by.

Anyone else stop getting ads as of 2 days ago? The ad server blocks whatever my browser sends it and replies with a 400 code and a body with "Invalid Request R1" .

When googling it I don't find anything Brave related but find this from another website :

"R0 or R1 / Customer requested stop of specific recurring payment: If you get this error code, it means the customer has told their card issuer not to allow recurring payments from you. You should stop the recurring payment schedule immediately to avoid chargebacks. Then contact your customer to clarify whether they want to continue working with you and if they’d like to resume the recurring payment schedule."

wtf is going on? Are they cracking down on clickfarmers?

Re: web extensions (abp+https everywhere)

Re: Ledger
- Is opt-in, Brave Rewards
- Literally privacy preserving, from local data.
- wtf point are you making anon?

Re: Browser knows where users spend time...
- Local browser on client device knows what the user does. Brave doesn’t collect this on a server. Fudding with this shows high likelihood of being dropped down stairs as young child.

- Brave is a company and brand, do you expect them to do nothing if another company knocks off their brand name? This isn’t about open source, it’s about ripping off their brand name.

Re: affiliate links
- Brave blogged about it the day of with a reasonable explanation, and went further with a change to remove
- And so what if they were? They are a for-profit company and what they were doing had zero privacy impact. Search engines make all revenue this way. Making this a bad thing shows your true commie self.

Counter them with truth and facts:

No fucking crypto project on earth has 20m monthly active users and 7m daily active users.

Or mainstream brand participation with their token

Or the creator of JavaScript with the biggest fucking brain

No project comes close to legit mainstream adoption for crypto. Not one

They are the most successfully executing team and project from the ico era, and bat is the most underrated and undervalued token on the market.

2021 will be massive for bat. Right as defi scam tokens fizzle, people will gravitate toward stability and buy into that with growth and utility.

People do not understand how big 20.5m users is. They have only ever seen the finished product. Twitter is a good example. It was founded in 2006, started getting media coverage in 2009 and had its IPO in 2011 at 100m users. People were investing in twitter before, during and after the ipo. The people that made the most money were the people who got in before the ipo, these were the guys buying at 10m users,25m users, 40m users etc. Twitter literally opened at a $24B valuation at 100m users.

If you really know about twitter you would know just how bad they are struggling. They cant retain users, their userbase is not growing, their ad suite sucks and advertisers are not getting a good roi plus they are taking on risk of brand safety, and twitter is struggling to remain profitable. Maybe I will spoon feed everyone on braves business model and why they will and should be a much bigger company than twitter in the coming years. A perceived $24b valuation once brave starts making its media coverage rounds would also put BAT at nearly $20 per token or a 100x from here. Brave wont be doing an IPO and theres only one way to have a piece of the network that is more valuable than the company itself.

But Brave's end-model is based on selling advertising attention, and this is done through BAT, a token with a finite quantity. If Brave's model is successful, BAT becomes more scarce and price increases.

I mean thats kind of what happens when you have a viral company and your solution to monetization is slapping ads on top. Twitter is just so bad I try not to spend much time thinking about it. Then theres Brave which started as an ad company from the start, and chose to build it in a way that is novel, and captures a lost and rapidly growing segment of the ad world. Its quality vs quantity, and most people dont have a problem with ads if they are done in moderation, but big techs solution of "more ads" just rubs most people the wrong way.

>>23937488
Yeah, its getting closer and closer to mainstream. Its one thing to miss something if you are not exposed, but its entirely different when people are telling you every month that brave just grew another 12% and you respond with FUD. People need to look at the bigger picture.

Technically you're correct but let's be honest here about what they can and can't say. If Brave does well then BAT will go up in price most likely. With crypto becoming a mainstream asset class investors will start looking at other things to invest in besides bitcoin. If you're a value investor and bitcoin is too expensive you're going to be looking for other investment vehicles. With BAT's price being so low for now it looks lucrative because people like round numbers. I would rather own 10k BAT that .05 bitcoins. That's just how people are. And I know the argument exists that tokens aren't shares in a company technically but they still kinda are. Either way my point is that people aren't rational and it doesn't matter that BAT isn't a share of stock in Brave, because people will still treat it that way.

>>23937753

There are 800,000 wallets, apparently.

This picture also implies that Brave's future revenue is going to be in the ad industry exclusively. Brave has already branched into security by providing a VPN. They are going to become the next tech monopoly, their assets will diversify.

I don't know where these ideas come from. I see this pop up all the time and people treat Brave and BAT like they are competing or separate entities. You might not be "buying shares" but you own a piece of a scarce distributed network that is crucial for the business to function. You cannot do that with shares because they dont run on tokenized networks. This is a different form of finance, treat it as such.

If you are going to come in here and lecture people, at least come with the right information. Theres only 370k BAT wallets because most of the network is handled off chain. Your chart only takes into account yearly ad spend which is entirely mediated in a cash economy. If I dump $85B into google ads the money just goes straight to google where they pay for all expenses, and keep whatever is left in their company coffers. If I were to dump $85B into brave ads, 30% would go to brave intl. And the other 70% would go straight into the token economy, where it can flow circularly, be liquidated or held until another $85B cash injection comes the next year. All of this is spent against a finite asset with its own network of internal moving parts.

This chart also assumes that BAT is only limited to the ad industry, when we know already that BAT does not exist in a bubble. BAT already works in the patronage industry, is available as collateral in defi systems, has plans for the online payment industry etc etc.

You have a low time preference, and stock picking based off past, present price action is a horrible strategy if you dont pair it with real fundamental analysis. You are not looking at the full picture. It might just be you, but for me personally, when I see a company thats growing 130% Y/Y and the price is not following, but trending down I see a literal goldmine. Venture capital doesn't throw money at publicly traded stonks. They are the ones getting in before the public, and when the public catches on they start dumping the bag. BAT to me is not any different. Im just waiting patiently for the company to grow, and grow, and grow.

Just stop, warning all newfags BAT is a reddit shitcoin. They keep memeing about muh 20 million users but BAT literally stayds within the 15-25 cents range and bleeds sat value constantly. Any time BAT pumps it usually pumps to around 40-50 cents then after about a week it bleeds down to its Goldilocks zone of 20-25 cents. Its a good coin to swing trade on because its so stable, just sell the pumps and buy in at around 18-20 cents. Other than that the coin will never achieve over a dollar in value because third world pajeets farm this shit and sell it at market value. Just look at the statistics, from 0 users to 20 million active users and the bat coin value is still shit. I cant beilive i chose this reddit shitcoin over chainlink 2 years ago but luckily i sold out of BAT and got Chainlink instead at around 1.80 usd but i couldve been a millionaire if i just went with chainlink at the start.

Im going to play this one by ear. If its a slow burn I might just take 10% off the top, and collateralize, and stake the rest for dividends/leverage. From there just make quarterly assessments of the company/competition and pull out if I see better opportunity elsewhere. If it goes through a very rapid bubble phase where it starts pushing past similar companies in marketcap I will start scaling in limit sells with the plan of a near complete exit, and re-entry at consolidation. What is realistic about hyperbitcoinisation? You are betting on an edge case scenario. If bitcoin was to do a 100x from here it would have a $30T marketcap that would dwarf the United States GDP. I dont even need to go into why this could not and should not ever happen.

For BAT to do a 100x it would be the size of twitter. It already has 22% of the users twitter had during its IPO which had a marketcap not too far off from 100x.

I think this information only became available sunday night at 4am, so it didnt get posted here but brave has a new feature in nightly that should get pushed to main in december. Its called "brave today" and I have to admit I was not expecting it, and was certainly not expecting it to be as good as it was. Its opt out, but can only be deliberately accessed on the new tab page by scrolling down so complaints should be minimal. The cool thing about it, is that its added real estate with lots of potential. Brave can add additional CTA's for brave rewards, and this looks like a new way for brave to earn more revenue through publisher deals in the interim. The ui/ux is really nice, and it came out of nowhere so brave has lots of tricks up their sleeves. If brave keeps this up we could see them reach profitability soon. Go check it on nightly.

My guess is that apple is working on a search engine, and brave is going to run it as the default search option. I have b3en keeping up with Braves github, and they are building out a "search intent" classifier for triggering ads with keywords that come from queries made on any search field in the browser. I dont think its unrealistic to think that the two could be working on a rev split deal for anyone searching with apple queries.

BAT is the solution everyone has been asking for.

We have the ability to create a Google that actually values privacy.

Its literally the only thing that can save the internet aside from turning your computer off. I think they know this, and thats why they are building things like "youtube killers" and other features people use daily. They probably never imagined the internet would get as bad as it is. 15 years ago you would never invision the internet becoming a centralized propaganda arm when literally anyone can make their own website. Naturally people just all pooled together in the same communities with tyrant leaders.

BAT investors are part of the BAT battalion. They move in organized, and precise ranks/formations.

Hi based BAT bros. And my favorite based brapper bro. Feels like ages since I said hello.

Any objective discussion about BAT vs competitors? Last night I was watching some live streams on DLive and found out that DLive is ran on TRON. A streaming service with BAT seems like a perfect fit since people were donating lemons and shit as tips. Tron always threw a red flag in my opinion but DLive seemed pretty legit IMO.

Anything like this in the works for BAT/Brave? BeBrave(BB) would be a great name for the service.

i remember making this exact argument a year ago and the entire board called me a fag. so much has changed.

>>23942386
i tried making ranks a year ago too. got completely ignored. i have no idea where the coordination went but its insane how nice they are being to new bat investors. so much must have been said in the discord.
