Gotten around 1000 BAT this year so ~$250? I cash out right away though for tax purposes. My only concern is possibly hosting images that would get me banned from adsense or any of its partners. I figured I'm safe because I've carefully chosen which memes to add (no racist, homophobic or other offensive ones) and I would rather not get blacklisted because there goes any chance of making money. Also knowyourmeme has basically the same meme categories and they use adsense so I figured I'm safe as long as I don't show any crazy stuff. Maybe some anons with ad experience can weigh in on this topic?

Yeah, it's not worth it. I'm close friends with the guy who made the "Reddit Compilations" youtube channel, his /r/shittyrobots video has 10 million views. I think he made a couple dozen grand usd off of all his videos total, it was a great side gig and he pretty much automated the entire thing. The problem was he was getting absolutely assblasted with copyright strikes and shit from people trying to grab ad money since apparently that's a thing on youtube. Copyright strikes are a bitch. Another idea I had was creating something similar but for obscure chiptunes. But there are already way too many music channels and copyright would still likely be a problem there.

>> No.24393428

Even with royalty free music and anonymous content, a lot of people would try to "claim" that they owned a particular video segment or even the music. Just asked him about this, he wasn't able to make any money off of the videos because of the strikes and it all went to the trolls. They would flag him at the end of the month so money would almost be coming his way but then it'd go to them instead, you can dispute these but not when you get flagged multiple times and each case takes like a week and with each strike you get reduced support. Pretty fucked, this was back in 2016 though I'm not sure if much has changed.

That's kind of what I tried to do with my naming convention. It's the main category first (pepe, wojak, etc.) then a descriptor of what type it is (sad, onions boy, pink, green). So it's kind of implicit SEO. I also have a sitemap for the images so I've been told that helps a lot too. The only area I'm extremely weak on is back linking. Not even sure where to start with that. Thanks for the help.

Most legitimate projects won't (and shouldn't) pay for 'advertising' like this. However, Kleros does have a Curate storytelling project running, in order to test the robustness of Curate trials, and if your site is considered 'high impact' then they'll give you 10k PNK (~$1000) for giving PNK a tab. And I'll start tipping you.

Thanks man. What kind of website are you going to be building? If its just a simple blogging website it would be better to use wix or divi from wordpress. You want to get something up and running first and then further down the line you can implement a more custom solution. I've used divi for a couple of blogging website and honestly it's pretty good.

I figured for me it was just easier to write my own website because I needed to do a lot of optimization because it was so image heavy. Plus I've written a lot of python scripts to help with creating the thumbnails and writing 5000+ lines of html code for the images. CSS is always a pain to get right so I fought with it a lot as well.

Bottom line is use and website builder.

Take a look at webflow anon. Pretty straightforward and youtube has a million tutorials (even ones where it combines with memberstack to create a members-only website with monthly payments). If you're just planning to host content, or write a blog, use the tools others have built (it's the buy vs build argument really, unless you wanna brush up your web dev skills). If you're creating a bespoke piece of technology via a web app, obviously build it yourself.

Above links give a grounding on a variety of topics. Business School is a meme that applied for the last 30-40 years, but in the information age we now live in, I can't see them holding much value over the next 30-40 years. Typically you'd do a degree, get a few years work experience as a corporate wage slave then hit a ceiling and the only way up would be obtaining $200k debt via an MBA. The model was fucked as obviously only the already generational wealthy could afford it besides scholarships.

And I picked up a lot of my skills just playing around while getting my CS degree but you definitely don't need one to make websites. I just got a broad exposure to a bunch on languages and classes that made learning a bit quicker. I'd say pick up some javascript experience too as ruby will only help you with the backend stuff, which is still valuable though. I would suggest learning pure JS though before moving on to jquery or react because it will give you a better understanding of what you're doing. And for webdev stuff learning how to interact with the DOM is a must. Mozilla has some great documentation on it.

just a few things i say are needed to protect retards who don't know due diligence in hiring the right people, its unfortunate but they might have children that you don't want to hurt in collateral

for example things that wouldn't need government funding since you do the work yourself, training yourself at least in things that you install that have the chance of hurting other people, rarely operation training

but most importantly education and making things done right are most important, but all the insurances and everything in the middle is too much governant

I'm in one industry that's highly regulated, highly political, has rather high capital requirements to do something meaningful. The downsides are obvious. But the upsides are surprising: it forces me to be very creative and to try novel approaches (also to find niches that are for now underregulated). That kind of "bleeding edge" makes it attractive for good people to join me (often highly technical background and loving the topic but appalled by the red tape and politics and glad that someone takes on the fight) and -- if I need it -- perhaps investors. It also lets me work at the regulatory frontier where my voice then has slightly more meaning.
While I dislike the heavy regulation and rather high market entry barriers, one is surrounded by above average people and can receive unexpected support. That being said, I still need to succeed, so I won't pretend otherwise.

It gets less verbose in later chapters when he lists mostly facts or clear statements (even to a point where some more details/examples could be beneficial), but it takes a while until one gets there. Perhaps it's meant to get into the right mood to break through the "loser think" most people are indoctrinated with.
