The only privacy these coins offer is about the ammount you traded.
They can still be traced back to the exchange, which will have all the data about who bought what.
The only way to garantee this dont happen is if we have coins traded on dexes, but then, the dex algo also need to be private, else it will be traced through IP, although in this case, they will only be able to triangulate, so not much data as they would have in a cex.
I believe we are still far from true privacy. I cant buy XMR in a dex, can I? Uniswap is only ETH.

Anyway, ZEC is the accepted privacy coin whether people want to accept it or not. The people backing it/supporting it are equivalent to the VCs in the startup world. Just need to follow smart money. Seems like there’s been some good accumulation of it below 100 as well.
