2011. i started reading about bitcoin in 2010 and bought 2k worth of btc a year later. then i bought avalon asics (50 btc each) and even though they were mining 1.5 btc per day, i was living with my mom and she told me that i had to move them or she would kick me out. i sold them to local crypto companies at 150-200 btc each.

i think it's highly likely that we will see BTC at 50-100k next year. i also think it's very likely that ETH and alts will not see much of these gains because most of the money going into BTC will be from institutions. as you can see from the statements by US treasury earlier today, BTC's risk profile is completely different and thus more appealing to institutional investors.

it depends on how much you borrowed. i never borrow more than 50% exactly for that reason-- i don't want to get liquidated in case the price collapses.

i think defi dad had some good videos and so did chris blec. just immerse yourself in defi discords, telegrams, etc. try to read, discuss as much as you can and then it will be just a matter of time before you start to understand these things.

the contract is one-way which means you lock up your ETH potentially forever given how bad the ethereum team is with timelines. you can make the same or greater returns if you borrow stables against your ETH and lend them out on various defi platforms. you can also move your ETH and sell it if you want to. not sure why anyone would want to do this.
