I wish we could ascertain for certain whether or not Nicola Mining really is a gem. It's not on _any_ of the silver portfolios, _nobody_ mentions it. So that might account for why the market cap is so low. If NIM has a permitted high-grade silver mine with 30 million ounces, _plus_ a permitted mill, then they are already in a better position than Aurcana is, which has 30 million ounces but no mill. And then NIM also has the highest-grade copper mine in American history, a high-grade gold property, and is the only mill available for hundreds of junior gold mining companies. If it is what it seems then you are only paying 1/6th the price ($40 million mcap) for something which is as good as, if not better than Aurcana. NIM has debt, but that was caused by previous mismanagement, and the present CEO seems like a good man. And if Aurcana is going to dilute all the time then I don't see that their financial situation is any better.

By the way, as proof that nobody knows a thing about Nicola Mining as a near-term silver producer, see the AUN chat itself. People are asking "What are viable alternatives to AUN?" And they exhaust all the possibilities, so far as they are aware, and don't even bring up NIM. It's a ghost stock even to the mining insiders.

Honest question bros. Went to a friend's birthday party tonight and bumped into another friend that I grew up with. With his Bitcoin holdings, he officially became a millionaire last night when adding up his crypto, house equity, savings, etc. He's absolutely convinced that it's going to go higher, so he's not selling. He wants to cash out once it goes $20,000 higher and become semi-retired while making a living investing into real estate in Oklahoma.

He is absolutely aware of hyper-inflation and that the printing press is going to kicked into overdrive under Biden, but when I asked how BTC value won't be impacted (e.g. have a million in BTC doesn't mean much if a loaf of bread costs $5,000), he's absolutely convinced that even though the dollar will collapse, BTC will survive on it's own and stand as an independent currency without either a fiat currency or commodity backing it.

What do you think of this guy? Even better, how do you convince him to convert some of it into PMs without giving away that you stack PMs (I'm very secretive, and only my mother knows). I just see this guy, a smart guy, not being able to put two and two together, and he's walking straight into a slaughterhouse. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Just curious what you guys thought. I've known this guy since I was fucking four years old, and I don't want to see him destroyed. I've stacked cryptos, but I always booked profits in cash and PMs and never saw them as an extension of fiat.

Would YCC really cause hyperinflation? My thinking is that with no QE, the dollars the govt borrows has to come from somewhere, which means those dollars are buying bonds instead of being spent, i.e. instead of adding to velocity and therefore inflation. By monetizing the debt, new dollars cover the bond purchases, while the old dollars are free to be spent on stocks, real estate, whatever else. Does this make sense? I'll admit I have a very shaky understanding of monetary theory.

I found the motivation to just get to work and it's turned my life around these two years. I know the stuff he says is really basic to some but I wasn't fortunate enough to have good parents or role models to guide me when I was young. Some of you guys benefited a lot too indirectly from the DD and companies I used to share.

Funny enough this was one of the things he talks about, how when you get your own shit together you'll find yourself being a strong positive force in your community.

I would frame it more as diversifying into different assets (property, PM, ammo, whatever) and pulling profits than getting out of crypto, as a hedge against a repeat of BTCs price movement in 2017. From his perspective he would be giving up potential profits for the safety of diversification. Maybe suggest the idea of gradually selling off (10% at 41, 10% at 43 or similar) versus waiting for a price target.

I would ask him if, right now, he could walk into a supermarket, pull out his crypto wallet and buy a load of groceries with his BTC balance.
Right now, while things are still somewhat stable. Just come up to the cashier and ask for the store's BTC wallet code so he can pay them.

Now, ask him if, if he truly believes the dollar will enter hyperinflation, he will be able to go to the same grocery store, pull out his phone, and pay for his groceries with his BTC balance. If he says no, then any sane person would stop to ponder about his choices.

Meanwhile, if you had some physical bullion - even IF Bitcoin were to survive unscathed (it won't), it would be easy to make that purchase because the price of that coin would equal an arbitrary amount of fiat money based on that day's silver spot price.

Anecdote time:

I remember when I about 4 or 5 years old going with my mom to the supermarket in the morning, buying some chicken, then going back later in the afternoon and the price of that same item had doubled. I've been seen the endgame of careless money printing and it's not pretty. And it took years for true reform to come about and slow down that process. In the process the government also confiscated a majority of private assets such as savings and retirement accounts for years - then failed to pay it back; some people are still being paid back pennies on what their assets were worth to this day.

https://www.sjsu.edu/faculty/watkins/brazilinfl.htm

This is why I converted the majority of my savings into PMs this last month.

Aurcana still needs to construct additional surface infrastructure and expand their waste settling ponds I believe, this was mentioned in one of their latest videos, as well as they need to update a bit more underground infrastructure in main headings for modern mining gear. Unironically in MMT, they acknowledge that taxes aren't necessary to pay for things. Instead, taxes function to 'destroy' money, removing from circulation. This isn't as crazy as it sounds when you remember that Keynes' system was easing during bad times AND tightening during boom times, to prevent bubbles forming that would lead to collapses.

The underlying issue here is that he had total faith in people to exercise restraint during good times and willingly use policy tools to keep "roaring 20s" style times form happening. Which is frankly laughable.

Its also interesting to note this ban also effected metals like platinum, but in interesting ways. The ban actually quietly inflated the value of platinum on the black market for a short period as people speculated the metal. Elderly prospectors who had buried cashes of the white metal they collected with their gold from placer mining ran back to their abandoned camps and frantically tried recovering as many of these hidden treasures as possible before things calmed down. Even today once in a while a rotten tin in a ruined cabin is found filled with platinum from that period.

>I’ll definitely have to read up on it.
off the top of my head you melt the gold. Then you pour the gold into water to form tiny beads. Then you run each bead through a mechanical roller until it's basically gold leaf. Then you hit the gold leaf with 80% sulfuric acid and filter the remains. Then you hit it with 20% sulfuric and filter the dust. Then you hit that with 80% nitric under a hood several times, washing between each bath. Then you filter, anneal, and wash with aqua regia at least 3 times on a hot plate under a hood. Finally you precipitate, filter, aneal, and melt the 24k.

that's the hot wet method. The electrolysis method is safer and faster but the equipment is much more expensive.

I think either SD Bullion or JM Bullion used to have a 30 oz. of Silver Shot at spot deal, I'm not sure if they still do though.

read above in the same thread, for Nicola. I know Blue Lagoon's ground probably better than their own geos probably due to growing up pretty much next door to the project area and working there years later. I think they will be an excellent gold and copper player soon, since they have their deal with Nicola to mill the ore from the Dome Mountain Gold mine. I havent looked at Golden Dawn in a while but they also have a regional contract mill that I ve personally used in the past, but its been many years since than. Let me get back to you on Golden Dawn and Irving, I need to go see what they have been up to recently.

Trying to feed into the normiecattle buzz around crypto in general. It gives it an air of authority to say "JPM thinks bitcoin is going to a jillionty dollars!!11!". The reality is they can say whatever they want, but it doesn't square with their actions. JPM inherited Lehman Bros. Massive silver position when they went tits up, and they've been buying a dragon hoard of physical while using their control of the derivative contracts to dictate its price. And they'll be damned if some goy tries to get in on their play.

This of course leads into the conspiracy theory I completely believe in about JPM stacking on behalf of the US government in the aftermath of the 2008 crisis.

I mostly do federal contracting for the US. They end and renew most contracts in Oct. so I did a few hundred thousand in deals that month. I have a couple that renew on the first, so another couple hundred grand there.

aside from that not much. I do some private industrial work but things have slowed a lot with the virus restrictions. Nothing super interesting yet, but my season for mining and enviro starts when the snow melts. This is my slow season.

Yeah, here it is because we're a bunch of hyper-distrustful pattern recognizers trying to pick what to drink once the USD eats shit. We're trying to short the entire world economy and ride the coat tails of the banks and government actors precipitating it. This bet is insane, no one else is biting on this.

I can literally buy all the bitcoin I could ever want in two minutes. If I want silver first of all I have to find a dealer that has it in stock and then they probably won't even have what I want and then it will take a month to arrive because it's on pre-order and the dealer is SOLD. OUT. LOL.

Please explain newfag why silver sell price is much lower than gold? For example, you can buy 100g of Valcambi for 5,043EUR and they will buy it from your for 4823.75EUR, however one kg of silver costs 756.06EUR and they will buy from you only for 671.31. How can you make any profits at all? I don't believe that PM could moon like shitcoins. You're guys buying PM only for doomsday scenario, right?
