It's because they're relatively normal intelligent people who don't want to waste their life shilling a stock since they understand they gain nothing from it. It's the insistent shills you have to worry about it, most of the time they are just some retard who saw a stock mentioned here and decided to shill it ad nauseam for attention. If they did come up with it on their own they'll never let it go like the SNSS and LCI faggots.

Seriously though, imagine being so pathetic that your aim in life is to get attention here and try to create some online persona in hopes that other people will follow your trades.

I don't agree that there was no squeeze. Just because it wasn't a KODK-tier squeeze doesn't mean this price action wasn't fueled by some short sellers. The spike and volumes speak for itself. You know that retail dumbasses got fucked over hard here like the naked calls anon. Increasing short interest would just be new shorts (with better cost basis) piling in to replace them

If institutional short sellers still decide they're not going to cover then there's definitely a risk of a huge pullback until GME finally demonstrates a trend to profitability or whatever finally convinces them to cut losses. They have the collateral to wait until volumes die down

I agree that there's good news in the pipeline but that's like a 2-year outlook. Gamestop has serious fundamental problems that can't be fixed overnight so even if Cohen proves to be amazing longterm, this could still be a situation like AMD's dump back in September 2018.
The way I see it, GME's run up this week was not based on any demonstrated performance. It looks like one big short seller finally gave up and accidentally triggered a squeeze on retail short sellers. The volumes are too extreme to be a momentum run on news that was 2 days old

I'm not trying to FUD but I'm certainly happy to finally take profit and stay on the sidelines. I may have a single digit cost-basis but a pullback back under $30 or something will still hurt me a lot inside. If I see it go up to $50, that's proportionally not as significant to me at this point (it's like seeing GME go to $18 from $15) especially considering higher risks we have now compared to when we were under "fair value"

Okay babies want to cum? BBBY announced $525,000,000 of buybacks till end of Q4 in Feb 2021. Total float is at 121.22 million. Meaning at current share price of 25.60, the $525m/$25.60 = 20,507,812 number of shares to be bought back till Feb 2021. (121.22m x 25.6)/(121.22m - 20.5m) Brings us to a post-buyback share price value of $30.8. BUT at a share price of like $28, that turns into 18.75m shares bought back but that numerator increases a bunch......at $28 share price by the end of Feb we have a share price of $33.12....but obviously this value is not static at all. As the underlying
BBBY share price increases from the current $25 those buybacks will take share price over $30 well into the 30's, so on so forth as the share buybacks finish up their course going into Feb 2021. Lots of technical forces driving this share price up.

So babies tell me.....do....you....want....to.....CUM.

BUT, that doesnt mean that guidance by cohen regarding this long play/pivot will send the share price rocketing up again despite the pivot not being proven at all. Thats the wave i want to sell on, short squeeze or no. If we has hit $40 with cohen exiting his position i would have sold by now. But again, cohen just took the board and they havent released earnings yet. I just dont think theres any reason to sell before that unless you need the cash or cant handle the risk (and as someone that held through q3 with a $14 cost basis, i can)

Cohen's already gone past 10% and has additional restrictions (never mind being a literal insider now), him selling is not a possibility nor would he bother to considering he's a billionaire

I'm talking purely about this rally we're seeing right now though. Forget about whether GME will be $100 or not in 2022 or 2023. This was definitely a squeeze, but it seems most people have this misconception that every short squeeze has to be like Volkswagen. Something like ACB is a much closer comparison. Overall short interest doesn't decrease in the end because there are new shorts that pile in

The volumes on GME right now are very disappointing, there'd need to be a surprise catalyst on Tuesday, whether it be actual news or another big short seller finally giving up

i need to clear up what i think is going to happen: i fully expect a dump on GME. it might even be more than the -11% today (though that did trigger the short sale rule). i DONT think, however, that with all the good news in the short term that the price wont go further up within the next three months before the “long term cohen pivot” play becomes the next good news to look for. this is all ignoring any massive short squeeze occuring
i think you have a misconception about what people think a short squeeze will look like. people know a VW squeeze is a dream. most people are hoping for an OSTK like squeeze where shorts gradually melt the price up. Neither of those things occured: the price simply exploded up due to some great news about an undervalued stock. Maybe that was in part to some shorts covering, but it doesnt really matter if this doesnt affect the possibility of a future squeeze occurring (and we know this is the case since SI increased)
bottom line, good news still to look for short term, then good news to look for long term, and short squeeze possibilities remain present

Yes, there are some respectable people making good points. But a thing to keep in mind is that like some people here have said several times already, the fed is already fully activated and won't stop supporting the economy, there won't be a crash for some time even if the market might want one. The day the fed starts talking about pulling back on their measures and maybe even hinting towards a potential rate increase.. that's when you should be worried, because if the market ever plans to blow up.. that's when it will actually happen. I think fed themselves said they won't touch rates until maybe 2023 so we still have time to enjoy them helping the green line climb up

You need to start doing something challenging that gives you a feeling of satisfaction and gains over time.

Excecising is a very good one. I just started running long distance again. I ordered a peleton as well. Im excited for it.

Reading helps as well. I like books nonfiction books that talk about people doing pretty risky, extreme things that they feel patient about. Whether that be murder or climbing everest, or diving. I just finished shadow divers, that talks about these extreme technical divers who discovered an unknown German U-boat at 300+ feet of water and violent currents, 4 or 5 of them die trying to identify it. But these motherfuckers are insane diving that deep, most of the time alone. So easy to die. All you can focus on is what you are doing in the moment or you die. Im trying to find things that give me this mindfulness feeling, but maybe not as risky.

Also a skill when you get to that as well. Minimum wage is fine but isn't there something else you want to do? Even if its a hobby?

I still think you're overestimating buying pressure over the next two and a half months and that you're early on this. The catalyst for short squeezes, absent absurdly high short interest paired with VW hedge fund tier manipulation, is most often speculation that it could happen and I doubt many people are thinking that ARKX is going to cause one. Plus the risk-reward ratio isn't that good compared to other space stocks since another fatal event would pretty much destroy their business and drop the stock to nothing. I'm happy to be proven wrong, SPCE isn't my hill to die on and I'm fine with missing out.
