The way I see it, GME's run up this week was not based on any demonstrated performance. It looks like one big short seller finally gave up and accidentally triggered a squeeze on retail short sellers. The volumes are too extreme to be a momentum run on news that was 2 days old

I'm not trying to FUD but I'm certainly happy to finally take profit and stay on the sidelines. I may have a single digit cost-basis but a pullback back under $30 or something will still hurt me a lot inside. If I see it go up to $50, that's proportionally not as significant to me at this point (it's like seeing GME go to $18 from $15) especially considering higher risks we have now compared to when we were under "fair value"

i think you have a misconception about what people think a short squeeze will look like. people know a VW squeeze is a dream. most people are hoping for an OSTK like squeeze where shorts gradually melt the price up. Neither of those things occured: the price simply exploded up due to some great news about an undervalued stock. Maybe that was in part to some shorts covering, but it doesnt really matter if this doesnt affect the possibility of a future squeeze occurring (and we know this is the case since SI increased)
bottom line, good news still to look for short term, then good news to look for long term, and short squeeze possibilities remain present

But a thing to keep in mind is that like some people here have said several times already, the fed is already fully activated and won't stop supporting the economy, there won't be a crash for some time even if the market might want one. The day the fed starts talking about pulling back on their measures and maybe even hinting towards a potential rate increase.. that's when you should be worried, because if the market ever plans to blow up.. that's when it will actually happen. Excecising is a very good one. I just started running long distance again. I ordered a peleton as well. Im excited for it.

Reading helps as well. I like books nonfiction books that talk about people doing pretty risky, extreme things that they feel patient about. Whether that be murder or climbing everest, or diving. I just finished shadow divers, that talks about these extreme technical divers who discovered an unknown German U-boat at 300+ feet of water and violent currents, 4 or 5 of them die trying to identify it. But these motherfuckers are insane diving that deep, most of the time alone. So easy to die. All you can focus on is what you are doing in the moment or you die. Im trying to find things that give me this mindfulness feeling, but maybe not as risky.

Also a skill when you get to that as well. Minimum wage is fine but isn't there something else you want to do? Even if its a hobby?

I've looked at it and I don't see how it's anywhere close to the risk/reward that GME had at single-digits. Not the same hype potential. They're massively overleveraged (huge debt). Their profit margins are meh so combined with their leverage, it seems really risky in case tides start to shift the other way (COVID was a boon to them)

I still think you're overestimating buying pressure over the next two and a half months and that you're early on this. The catalyst for short squeezes, absent absurdly high short interest paired with VW hedge fund tier manipulation, is most often speculation that it could happen and I doubt many people are thinking that ARKX is going to cause one. Plus the risk-reward ratio isn't that good compared to other space stocks since another fatal event would pretty much destroy their business and drop the stock to nothing.
