One advantage AVAX have over DOT is that AVAX devs were not part of the Ethereum team.
You see Cardano, for example. Charles was a co-founder of Ethereum, and look at how bad it is, there is not even smart contracts and the staking platform is a simulator. Charles talks more about himself than about development.
