Reposting from previous thread:

WAGMI /pmg/!

I don't want to FOMO too hard here because I think we're still going to see dips and possibly a big market correction which hopefully will be a good point to go all in. But I'm looking to get a position in more established producers at this point. Which are the best bets?

I like PAAS, but can only afford 30 shares or so at this time. Is Hecla a good alternative in that space?

I already have positions in DV, BLLG, BHS, AG and IPT

On a separate note, got in contact with my LCS this morning and he says he has absolutely 0 gold in stock right now. AGEs are 10 days out and Golden Maples are 3 weeks out. Mirrors what anons were experiencing from their online dealers.

>Building Back Better (BBB) is a strategy aimed at reducing the risk to the people of nations and communities in the wake of future disasters and shocks. The BBB approach integrates disaster risk reduction measures into the restoration of physical infrastructure, social systems and shelter, and the revitalization of livelihoods, economies and the environment.
>BBB was first officially described in the United Nations' Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction document, which was agreed on at the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction held on March 14–18, 2015, in Sendai, Japan. It was adopted by UN member states as one of four priorities in the Sendai Framework for disaster recovery, risk reduction and sustainable development. The UN General Assembly adopted this document on June 3, 2015.

Gold is generally safer, while silver offers better returns in a bull market. Silver isn't near its ATH while gold is basically there though, so it's a mixed bag. I'd say for a newbie if you are young, shoot for a 1:100 ratio of gold/silver weight. It's pretty heavy on the silver side, but it's warranted given the current price ratio compared with historic trends, plus the fact that we are almost 100% in a bull market with all this money printing and economic uncertainty.

Classic wall of worry. Nobody is going to care until $30 silver. Until then, we remain in the stealth phase. Fundamentals are on our side so long as gold and silver continue to rise, and we know they will rise. Even if these stocks got to P. E. ratios of 1 and people still weren't buying them, they could simply pay 20% dividends or ship gold and silver directly to their shareholders. I poured into a cast iron ingot mould, its very rough so thats why you get those crevices and stuff. The black stuff is also something from the mould. I'd use graphite but I don't have any suitably sized moulds. I do plan to resmelt them at some point.

If you have access to the NYSE then get Hecla, First Majestic and Fortuna, to be a little more risky Alexco and Great Panther and AUMN. If you only have access to the LSE, then an excellent silver stock which I can recommend is Adriatic Metals. Property is located in the Balkans, resource is 12 million tonnes at 149g/t silver, 1.4g/t gold, 2.6 per cent lead, 0.5 per cent copper, and 25 per cent barium sulphate, containing 58 million ounces of silver, 527,000 ounces of gold, 489,000 tonnes of zinc and 312,000 tonnes of lead. True inflation-adjusted ATH for gold, according to ShadowStats, is $20,000 an ounce. Aligns with what I've often said that we'll see an 8-16x in gold to return to a 1:1 Dow:Gold ratio. Also interesting to see that according to the official CPI, the inflation-adjusted ATH for gold is only $3000. Shows what disgusting and egregious liars the official figure-makers are.

Also according to ShadowStats, the inflation-adjusted ATH for silver is _$966_, which is even higher than I thought it was (I usually say $850). That means that silver has 37x potential.

The historic valuation for a strong miner is to trade at 10x cash flow, in miner bull markets they often get to 30x cash flow. People often don't believe that silver juniors went 150x in the frenzy of the 60s, when silver doubled >>26262871, but do the maths on any number of miners and you'll see where this is going. Consider e. g. Bayhorse Silver. Their cost per ounce is $10, and they can produce a million ounces per year. Current mcap is $12 million. So imagine at $50 silver, that's $40 x 1 million ounces = $40 million cash flow, x 30 = $1.2 billion mcap, or 100x. Now imagine at (say) $200 silver, that's $190 x 1 million = $190 million cash flow, x 30 = $5.7 billion (that's nearly 500x). At $400 silver you get 1000x, at $800 silver you get 2000x. So you could turn $1000 into $2 million. I know that this sounds absolutely absurd but it's simple mathematics. For the people who don't like Bayhorse, do the numbers on any number of other producers like First Majestic, Great Panther, Hecla, etc. Then consider that explorers are generally leveraged to producers. If silver goes where we think it is going then silver junior miners are going to be a greater investment than Bitcoin.

Yes. Silver go to $966 in 1980 when the Dow:Gold ratio went 1:1, and the GSR went 1:15. That is likely to happen again, because a GSR is 1:15 is simply the historical average. But imagine if the GSR goes to 1:8 (the mining ratio of gold vs silver), or 1:5 (what the Hunt Brothers believed it would get to), or 1:3 (what it was in the Renaissance and mediaeval times), or 1:1 or 2:1 (what it was in ancient Egypt). I don't see much of a decline in the real trend. I see it staying over $5000 most of the time until 1913 when the modern financial ponzi scheme begins to be established. Then it really declines after 1933 with the artificial dollar peg. Breaks free after 1971 when that peg is broken, overshoots to the upside. Gets suppressed again by Volcker raising interest-rates. But if the dollar completely collapses, and gold becomes money again, no reason why it shouldn't return to the $5000-$10,000 range. Or even go higher, because gold is now far more useful than it was before the 20th century, and is necessary for all kinds of industrial and scientific applications.

"I believe $silver is going to $50 next year. $FR its AISC is about $12-15. The Ermitano project will expand the Santa Elena mine production from 6 to 12 million eq $silver ounces, and this will increase $FR production to 30 million ounces of eq $silver.

What effect has $50 $silver price on the $FR stock price?
Future $silver price (end 2021): $50
AISC: $15
Net profit per $silver ounce: $35
Yearly production: 30 million $silver eq ounces

most of the companies I am watching are already mentioned, but heres a bit of an odd ball one that could be very interesting this year. Omineca mining's Wingdam placer mine Near Quesnel BC. I ve mentioned the area before because of its technical challenges and dangers of mining this paleo channel with more primitive technology, but I recently had a chat with some of their on site workers which peaked my interest. Omineca has brought in ground freezing tech from potash mining to stabilize the ground and allow robotic scoop trams to access the pay dirt and mine in a "block and pillar" fashion. I am really hoping this works because Lightning Creeks deep pay channels have never been worked before, and there are still billions of dollars in gold known to be along its length.

There is still a lot of work to do on the project rehabing the existing workings, but things are coming along slowly and smoothly.

yes its very dangerous, thats why no people will be actually working in the drift sections unless absolutely necessary. The idea will be to use the existing decades worth of drill data to follow the wide high value pay layer which in places goes from 1m wide to 20m wide and 2m thick, dig nothing more than what is needed, and each drift will be as tight as possible. 1 meter of bedrock will also be mined to recover the course gold from cracks and fissures.
>>26270955
yep its just washed gravel, and than sent back into the drift as back fill and capped with a cement like mixture that can be removed again if anyone wants to go back and rework the area again later.
This is also one of the richest placer deposits remaining unworked in the world, some areas drilled in the 70s returned 20oz a yard of material. Back when this was conventionally mined, guys would fill lunch boxes with nuggets picked from the bedrock as they were working.

Omineca’s plan is to continue this process along the entire 2.4 kilometers of the channel." at their website. Some quick maths would tell me that judging by that alone they should have maybe 15-25koz Au total in that 2.4km stretch. That's not a whole lot but on the other hand mining and processing the deposit is probably super cheap. no no your right, the issue like anything is that the gold is not evenly distributed across the bedrock on the ancient river bottom. Some areas in the drill results were insane, others were fair. The other bit that they leave out is the original team technically missed the main section of channel they were after, the support structure was installed just a little out of place, so the sample came back lower values than expected. Also you have to understand, the entire river length has never been worked, thats dozens of km that were known to be drilled and have gold, but had this same issue of ground stability which stopped the old timers from mining it. If this works at the main wingdam site, it can be used on other high value stretches as well.

the main issue before was freezing wide sections of ground at once was insanely costly, the new approach uses a more efficient freezing method and does it incrementally. This was developed to stabilize potash deposits in Manitoba and other prairie provinces, where the ground was far weaker than at Wingdam. The only other issue that has to be worried about is the underground river flow, this is what destroyed the 1950s attempts to mine at Wingdam. The mining crews were working normally one minute, the next they were up to their hips in water! The pumps worked over time but the water just came in anyway and flooded the workings. again thanks to drilling we now know where this water is and where to avoid it, but monitoring will have to be constant to avoid another incident like that.

I also don't believe it's as black and white as /pol/tards claim, but neither do I believe that the future is just bright and MMT will be the saviour of all. Truth is somewhere in-between. Until then, I'm mostly riding the green-tech wave on the stock market, hedging with PMs and reading up on the news as broad as I can (mainstream and niche, including /pmg/, which I think is a little nugget of gold in a sea of shite).
In either case, I have a general strategy to follow up, so I'm ready. That's the best anyone can do.

Thanks for explaining Pan Man. If the method is relatively cheap and proven to work on less solid ground then my worries regarding that are pretty much entirely mitigated. I'm sure they will also be sure to keep a good distance to the riverbed. Interesting stuff, I'll have a look at the company later sometime.

like I said, I am "hoping" this works, because it would basically spark yet another gold rush out in this region as 3 other rivers with similar ground could be accessed. I am skeptical though, if they fuck up, it will be catastrophic. There is no room to screw up on this ground.

I hold ground way up stream at the headwaters of Lightning creek, and i am only surface mining really, though the idea of sinking a shaft to bedrock and looking around down there has popped up before. I also spent a week exploring a set of placer claims above the wingdam site for a client last summer, I know the territory well.

Unironically read Rich Dad Poor Dad to get an understanding of how the mentality of the successful is different from the mentality of those who just chug along.
Watch 7 Hidden Secrets of Money to understand how the financial system is built to enslave and steal away the fruits of your labor, if anything, so you understand why debt is the elite's way of keeping us enslaved and is how they enrich themselves.

Then follow the advice of the other anons about developing skills and not spending what you don't have.

Fidelity would always let me trade same day when I transferred funds from a bank account. Never messed with schwab but maybe their policy is different.

Fidelity is preferred for a lot of the miner stocks if you're in the US since they don't charge fees on foreign trades, with a few exceptions

I do. I will have a ton of stuff to do soon. I just stuck my head in to see how you all were doing. I need to get back into studies, and particularly this (https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex)) since VP mentioned it. It is highly needed especially with what Chris Cole talked about in the allegory between the hawk and the serpent for the next 2-5 years. https://artemiscm.docsend.com/view/taygkbn
Gregory mannerino can only get me so far, but I need to take advantage of the Vega and Vanna in for the 401k crisis that is coming up.

I'm 33 and only just getting started. I can't even imagine what getting started in your teens or 20s would do for compound growth. I was never taught any of this and only developed an interest due to starting a family.
