I feel like you HAVE to expect this. A little dumpage doesn't hurt. You also don't have to put in your funds all at once. Space it out just a little bit. Give yourself the time to learn. But put in bit by bit for now so that you have some exposure to the obviously dependable coins like BTC, ETH, LINK, ADA, etc...
