But yeah, it's ambitious, crosschain between ETH-ERC20-BTC-etc. using L2 was never done before, and by judging and testing the closed beta, they're doing everything right.
Will there be an adoption right away? Don't know, but mainly because you have to download something. I, for myself, feel way safer downloading their DEX and just plugin in my flashstick with wallet instead of keeping everything online.

Diversify so you can sleep at night. And by diversifying, don't just go into another exchange coin/token. At the end of the day, in terms of fees, it's a race to the bottom in order to stay competitive because people are generally only going to trade where they can get the best price. Maybe think about some other projects, like ETH if you want to be really safe, but still get 10X your investment. You could consider IEX or RLC too. I know it gets bashed a lot, and while it does have some competitors, I think it will be viable in a couple of years.
