In retrospect, that one anon was absolutely right - the only reason AMC went up was due to false promises that AMC, and not AMCX, was the second-most shorted company on the market. We were played for fools into a simple Pump n' Dump.

Yes it will. Theaters ARE dying, and AMC especially. They were already going bankrupt years ago before covid. They are just a badly managed Chinese company that cannot and does not compete with the other theater chains. They still have over half their debt outstanding and no way to pay it. Hollywood is intentionally baiting them along by pushing movies back at the last minute forcing them to remain open but with nothing playing because they want theaters to die so they can go all in on their own streaming services. You are objectively wrong, I'm done listening to your delusional lies and cope every single thread, and this is the final word on this subject.

It's not convoluted at all. The studios set a release date and the theaters have to to commit resources to being open for that. Then within a month or two of that date, the movie gets pushed back again but the theater has already spent the money on snacks, utilities, and manpower to be open and cannot then close again for a minimum of 3 months. How have you not been noticing this pattern through all last year? Hollywood is intentionally doing this.

>> No.27836872

>>27836665
The only reason given for it to go that low is that they shorted it at $3.
Now instead they paid off a huge chunk of their debt, and if they don't manage to keep it suppressed with naked selling it will probably cause an entire market run when the shares people are holding turn out to not actually exist.
At this point the federal government is directly helping them though, so I doubt it will ever be allowed to go up and cause that.

They're not dying, they're just dealing with the aftermath of jewish ticket prices while offering little value. Eventually, the theater chains will be forced to reduce ticket prices and offer more value like the Alamo Drafthouse. Box offices are still a 40 billion dollar revenue for production companies. In terms of the stock, it doesn't matter that AMC's fundamentals are slightly bad, all that matters is that the fed is going to keep 0% interest rates and investors will continue speculating and pumping like they've been doing since last year.

That's legitimately a hallmark sign of a Chinese poster, it's in their mentality to be blindly loyal and only say good things about what owns them. I'm not a slave to this stock, we got scammed and I want out, and the writing is on the wall for AMC as company. There's nothing wrong with saying so and he's taking issue with it because it's his actual job to defend this shit and deceive us. Nothing the anon he's reeing about said is untrue or disinfo either. The stock wasn't shorted and AMC is probably still going bankrupt within the next 2-3 years even "after covid".

Maybe average down if you can and then wait, but at a certain point your just digging yourself in deeper by doing that. Or take the loss, which is what I'm starting to consider doing since this is looking hopeless. AMC has no future, anyone that isn't a shill or a braindead boomer knows it. My average is $14 though so it's unlikely this sinking company ever gets back there.

>> No.27842492

As long as baby boomers and gen x are around, AMC won't die. There's a lot of belief in this thread that the price will crash, which is actually ironic. It's gonna go up post covid. We'll likely see the return of the $30 high fro AMC. It could potentially even reach $40. So many companies are gonna bounce back after covid regulations are gone. A lot of people are saying things will never return to normal. Sadly, a lot of politicians and lawmakers seem to disagree. I see so many things opening back up despite COVID. Money will always take priority over the safety and wellbeing of the poor. At least in the eyes of the rich this is the case.

>what is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
This is a basic preaching of the Gospel for your convenience. To start off, Jesus Christ came in the flesh.
>1 John 4:2 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:"
Coming as the last Adam(1 Corinthians 15:45-47; Romans 5:12-15)
Giving redemption through his blood(Ephesians 1:7)
>Hebrews 10:7-10 "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
>Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
>Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
>By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
As was prophesied by Isaiah of the Messiah that was to be rejected of his own people(Isaiah 53:3-5)
And in Psalms
>Psalm 22:16 "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."
So, Jesus Christ of Nazareth did fulfill scripture and did die and rose again. So that we can be saved through his blood by being baptized for the remission of sins through his name.
>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
>John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Just tucking hold it dude. AMC is owned by WANDA - Giant Chinese conglomerate. They won’t let it fail, give it 6 months to a year and people will be back in the theaters and price will rise enough to make at least some of your money back if not profit.

Or just be a walnut brain retard and cash out at a loss because you can look more than 3 weeks into the future. If that’s the case you are hopeless.

AMC should be trading close to $5 right now, but there is also the chance that the retards on reddit might pump it back up. At this point I don't know what you should do.
If you hold long tern there's a good chance the stock price will recover.
So maybe your best bet is to wait it out.
In the meantime find some decent companies to invest in while this stock does whatever it's going to do, and dump AMC if you manage to get a decent bump from those Reddit retards.

What a midwit take.
AMC was pumping right behind GME, and if the GME monkies would have been successful they would have poured their wins into AMC right afterwards.
Robinhood stopped the pump prematurely and sent the whole thing into a tailspin.
Putting some money into AMC before the robinhood debacle could have been very profitable.
Unfortunately after that the momentum disappeared.
And now these guys will be holding until summer.

I care, bro. I own 1,000 shares at $2.75 per share. I could click the sell button & book a $4,000 profit at any moment, but I won’t. I’m holding strong. Why would I want to make a quick $4k when I could hold until the short squeeze & sell for over $100 per share? I believe we still have over 36M shares sold short under $6 & the owners of those 36M short positions are paying interest on them. They’ll eventually have to cave as long as we can hold the price above $6 & they believe that it’ll stay above $6 per share throughout 2021. If you see people posting that they just sold all their shares for a loss, don’t believe them. If I am still holding my shares & could sell them for a profit at any time, why would someone who is under water on this stock sell their shares for a loss? Then, why the hell would they come here & tell us that they sold out their shares? I’ve sold stocks in other companies & I’ve never once went onto a discussion board to announce my sale for a loss. This isn’t an airport, no need to announce your departure. Those aren’t even real shareholders; they are paid by the folks who are short to spread fear & uncertainty in chat rooms. Ignore them & mute them. All the people posting saying the share price is going down are also paid by the shorts or they are short themselves. Don’t listen to any of them. I’ve been watching VERY closely since the big pop last week during market hours, pre-market & after hours. It hasn’t gone below $6 per share since the big pop to $20 last week. It’s almost as if we have a guardian Angel with deep pockets who is protecting the $6 line for us.

Perhaps a billionaire investor who buys up shares every time it gets under or around $6.50 to keep it getting too close to $6 & in danger of going under $6. If it stays over $6 for a few weeks, I’ve got a feeling the owners of the estimated 36M shares that are shorted under $6 will waive the white flag & give in (buy shares over $6 per share to close their short positions at a loss). Imagine how big the squeeze will be when buy orders (over $6) come in for 36M shares! This thing will skyrocket & whoever is holding the line for us over $6 is gonna cash in big time too. I don’t care about any shorts who shorted this at prices over $6 per share. Those shorts may have covered their positions, made some pocket change, who cares. Not of my concern. All I care about is holding the line at $6 & waiting on the big squeeze!

>streaming services are the future of movies and entertainment

For a long time, people have been saying that studios want to cut out the middleman of theaters. And it was true, they did. They probably still do. But this pandemic gave them a captive audience who had no choice but to stream if they wanted to see movies, and the studios absolutely bled from it. Films that should have earned nearly a billion dollars struggled to clear a hundred million. They don't have a moneymaking formula that doesn't include theaters yet - unless they want to settle for lower profits, which lololololololololol
