- Clients and integrators are incentivized to run their own node, buy LTO, and stake it; the staking rewards offset the network fees they pay for usage of the network -- "get paid for paying the bill" (Net-Zero)

- However, what is to stop a client from buying and staking far more LTO than they are actually paying in fees, thus decentralizing the network -- which could be fatal to the entire platform? Enter: "Leased Proof of Importance" (LPoI)

- LPoI disincentivizes clients from owning TOO MUCH LTO **because staking rewards diminish exponentially relative to their actual usage of the network**. LPoI rewards clients and integrators to own just the right amount of LTO relative to their usage of the network, which ensures that it remains decentralized.

- LPoI therefore enables the economics of NET ZERO to work without threatening to centralize the network. It is a sustainable, attractive economic model that is highly attractive to businesses.

- However, there is also an interesting logical outcome to the "Net-Zero" model that LPoI enables: once businesses and integrators buy and stake LTO, that LTO can be effectively be considered to have been removed from the circulating supply...

- In other words, to the degree that the LTO network continues to expand and transactions grow exponentially, the basic laws of economics and common sense dictate that the available supply of LTO will be removed from the circulating supply in proportion to that network growth...

- Because there is an incentive to own enough LTO to be able to use the network on a Net-Zero basis, the price will inevitably rise. Even at a double or triple digit token price, it will still make economic sense to buy enough to achieve Net-Zero, ESP SINCE CORPORATIONS CAN ADD THE LTO TO THEIR BALANCE SHEET, effectively making the purchase of LTO "Net-Zero" as well!

- In this late stage there will be only one primary source of LTO supply left...the remaining passive stakers who held with diamond hands...

How impacted would LTO be from another crash?

If businesses drive up the price of the token by virtue of them using it and staking it, not just being used as a form of currency, would it be able to hold up during a crash?

I'm thinking businesses that hold a lot will all offload at once hoping to buy better prices which will still cause a crash I dunno.

Pretty spooked about long terms holds in the event of a similar situation where everything crashes like a few years back.

if a large amount of LTO was taken out of leasing pools to be sold on exchanges, then the rewards of the txs will increase for the remaining holders, increasing the amount of LTO they make from leasing. So if you have diamond hands and know that the long term fundamentals will prevail then it would be a good time to consider adding at lower prices, and getting a better return on your leased amount

It's a PoS coin with interest earned from transaction fees. You can lease your LTO to a node to earn interest (or run your own node). Leasing is literally a 1 click process that requires no effort or further input.

With each transaction 0.1 LTO is removed from the network forever. DEFLATION.

The Dutch government is already using it. As well as some companies.

Because LTO is a PoS token with great interest rate (currently 6-7%) and eaze of acces, people will withdraw their LTO from exchanges to stake / lease. This, combined with the deflation built into the network will cause scarcity. Scarcity will drive up the prices.

"I see a lot of posts about difficulty getting LTO in the US outside of Uniswap and their ridiculous gas fees.

You are able to buy LTO as a BEP2 token in Trust Wallet!

I sent some BNB from Binance.us to Trust Wallet, swapped it in the wallet for LTO (BEP2), and sent to the LTO Mainnet for a fee of .000375 BNB ($.04). Just make sure when you set up the LTO bridge, do it as the BEP2 token and not ERC20."

Listening to my gut and /biz/ made me loan $1k to invest into GRT which turned out amazing.
It doesn't seem like GRT is stopping anytime soon, so I won't pull out yet.
But this sends similar signals and I'm debating whether I should get another grand into this.

My personal price target is for this project to be around $1bil market cap...not in the long run, but just based on current fundamentals. LTO has been chronically ignored by the market, and is due for a correction to a more fair valuation.

Unironically yes. Look at coinmarketcap and look at all the shit coins with no fundamentals that are well over $1bil mk cap. I'm not even saying that LTO will pump to $1bil because of hype, so get in while you can and try to sell at the top...I'm saying that the current REAL returns generated by staking (100% from actual network usage by paying clients) + the long term fundamentals make LTO's fair valuation at around $1 bil...RIGHT NOW, imo. This is the essence of value investing right here. Not financial advice, DYOR. I've put in probably 80 hours of research into LTO at this point.

Everyone's financial situations are different. For some people 1000 LTO could really make a difference one day. Just DYR and learn about what you own so you have the discipline to hold it for years. LTO = Long Term Ownership.

10x is simply what I project to be the immediate fair value...ultimately my conservative price target for LTO is $10bil market cap in about 5 years. Again, this isn't to say that it will p&d to $10bil, but rather that a stable valuation of $10bil will be achieved within approximately that time frame. And I'm conservative: there's some LTOers who are projecting much higher than $10bil mk cap, long-term.

I don't know dude, ZRX has had a pretty spectacular moon, much more than LTO, might not be bad to rotate some into an undervalued platform. Not financial advice.

It's impossible to project because LTO is deflationary and so the supply will shrink in proportion to network transactions...that being said, let's assume, say 350mil supply in five years: $35 LTO. Or if you think the current circulating supply is a better metric, $27 LTO. So you can play around with those assumptions, but it seems fair to say double digit LTO is in the cards, ultimately. These are all basic bitch calculations. If you want the real red pill on LTO's future price consider that 80%+ of the supply is ultimately going to be owned and staked by network integrators...that LTO is effectively removed forever from the circulating supply because it is literally paying for the integrators network usage bill. In that case, the only availabe supply on the open market will be the <20% (if that) still owned by passive stakers (us)...in other words, the price will be determined by those who control that final, finite, tiny pot of LTO. And guess who is going to own that LTO?
