If I never wanted a family, I could retire now.

I want to have a family and pass on wealth to my children. I am at 800k NW right now, and would rather my kids go to a good school district (where houses are ~700k minimum) then live in a rural area and send them to private school. Homeschooling isn't a silver bullet unless your standards are low. Buying property near a city could let my children live at home while they pursue high-salary jobs in a city.

My side of the family who live in a northeast rural area, all the ones who are out of school and live at home are suffering. Crap jobs, trade-school with crap salaries. I've read that rural southwestern areas are better for the working class.
