I don't think you really understand crypto because a stable coin is backed by some form of collateral or is adjusted by an algorithm to maintain a peg at a specific price.
The reason why the team holds onto tokens and releases them over the course of years is to benefit the health of the project.
If the team has information not accessible to the public regarding potential threats to the project, then I believe its understandable to release more tokens into circulation.
As I said before, the full details will be released and then we wont know them until they are released.
