I staked my fucking Reef and then took a look at the contract and it says there's 91 million Reef staked and the number is still growing. Let's say you want to stake 50,000 Reef, probably what the average user might have. Assuming an average price of $8/LIT, we can estimate the $20,000 LIT pool to be 2500 LIT. So (50,000 Reef / 91,000,000) * 2500 LIT = 1.37 LIT.

If you have 50,000 Reef to stake and the total staked amount stops growing right now, you can earn 1.37 LIT in 2 weeks. Denko has not addressed this.

I've defended Reef through the FUD and I've held my Reef despite the dump when I could have sold at $0.056 because I believed in it... but the way they set these "bonds" up is pretty shitty. They don't inform you that unless you are staking millions of Reef your rewards probably won't even cover your gas fees. And there's also no way to unstake now.

Do they just expect people to not notice that they're getting essentially no reward for staking? Let's say you have 500,000 Reef. That is $15.5k at the current price, a sum not everyone is willing or able to gamble in an altcoin. That person will get 13.7 LIT for staking 500,000 Reef if the total staked amount stops growing RIGHT NOW. That's about $110. If a person has $15.5k worth of Reef, they probably see hours fluctuations in the price of Reef that are to the tune of several times their "reward" for two weeks of staking. In other words you can make more money on one single swing trade of Reef than staking for 2 weeks.
