A new coin buyer,
Approaches the store,
He's fresh from Reddit,
Seeking riches galore.

All through the shop,
Are spread gleaming wares,
Marked with eagles and lions,
Fierce tigers and bears.

Symbols of Liberty,
The pride of a nation,
Long dead kings and queens,
Who still guard 'gainst inflation.

A decision is made--
He's looked through them all--
"I'll take the ones,
With the gay concert hall!"

As the total's rung up,
The seller looks smug,
Perhaps he should stock,
Silver gags and butt-plugs.

Just a few weeks later,
It's all over the news,
Silver spot has hit $40,
There's no time to lose.

"I must gather my silver,
It's time to vacation!
Or perhaps profit should go towards,
My AIDS medication."

At the coin store, however,
He'll face a surprise,
The owner's selective,
Of the coins that he buys.

"The spot price? Oh, no sir,
I'm sorry, you see:
If I'm to touch your Weiners,
There's a sizable fee."

Converted to fiat,
And spent in a day,
The impulsive consoomer,
Goes along on his way.

A year or two later,
When shit hits the fan,
He's destitute now,
Living out of a van.

He sucks cock for a living
And he does it with glee--
He's paid in silver,
But would do it for free.

Such a beautiful day
The fed printed more
A collapse on display
For us is a score
And yet something awry
There's something not right
Philly buyers imply
Their loafers are light
Worth one point five euro
I'm sure it's a steal
Except you and me know
There's gay sex appeal
With mouthfuls of cum
They fly rainbow flags
I'm sure there are some
With silver in bags
But most that I see
Trading weiners for tugs
Make clear as can be
They're here to chase bugs

Those numbers are a bit complicated if you want to determine the "fair" value of the metals. Those are based on year-over-year production of gold/silver vs. printing of fiat. This means that silver isn't going to be $4,880/oz, it means that $4,880 dollars are printed for every ounce of silver mined in the last year. It's also not clear to me whether it is international gold/silver production vs. united states fiat printing, or whether both are US-restricted, or both are international.

If we were to replace fiat with gold+silver, the current "fair value" of gold and silver as currency would potentially be the sum of all international "fiat" (which including derivatives is estimated perhaps somewhere in the ballpark of a quadrillion USD), divided by the international "available" gold and silver (estimated perhaps somewhere in he ballpark of 6billion oz gold and 50billion oz silver, probably being quite generous including bullion, jewelery, and other less available forms of metal but let's go with it).

This means $1,000,000,000,000,000USD / (6,000,000,000gold+50,000,000,000silver).

Let's assume 15:1 ratio of silver:gold. This means that you can basically multiply gold ounces by 15 and you can get the equivalent silver - 6x15 = 90billion oz of "silver equivalent". So now our formula is $1,000,000,000,000,000USD / (90,000,000,000"silver equivalent"+50,000,000,000silver) = $7,142/oz for silver, or x15 = $107,142/oz for gold, in current USD equivalent value.

TLDR: If the world were to change overnight to PM gold/silver stadard backed fiat, the equivalent value would be $7k/oz for silver and $107k/oz for gold.

As the last year has taught us, having loaded rounds ready to go is far superior to having the possibility to load your own, unless you have a deep stack of all components. Primers are very hard to get at the moment.

Out of a 16"+ barrel at suburban distances, M193 or equivalent is superior to M855. Better antipersonnel performance when you're in the velocities for fragmentation, better AP capabilities. Unless you have a SAW and you're mowing down Commies in their trenches green tip is a meme.

My point is that the discrepancy between COMEX paper spot and physical is already all you need. The longer it goes on and the more that spread the more there is an arbitrage for new longs to dogpile in.
There is nothing significant about the arbitrary field goal line of COMEX "defaulting". They are the most opaque black box in all of equities on purpose to obfuscate market mechanisms and impede real price discovery.
Thinking that the COMEX is going to obey its own rules to default is ignoring history and also introduces meaningless causes to be defeated over.

Yeah it was right about this time last year that I was stacking my ammo and preparing my will. I was no-shit thinking we were going to see double digit casualty percentages. I still think it's unwise to rely on import ammo because it's vulnerable to political winds. .30-30 Win is well over $3/round right now, that's what 7.62 Commie would be if the imports dried up.

Don't waste your time, half of the people going on about the comex default are newfags and reddit tourists that are frothing at the mouth about "muh comex default" because they've been so successfully brainwashed into bullshit. The other half are the shills just trying to get as many people to pile into silver as possible so they can make a quick short-term gain. Anyone with a brain that knows what they're talking about knows that the Comex will not "default". The most they will do is let out a tiny yelp and cash settle, and even that is a very big if. Sure price will increase, but supply will always be prioritized to industry over retail as it's a matter of national security both in the economy and military defense.

>>29616582
Not particularly, it's government minted silver, but if you're selling them to a shop in America of course they will be more enthusiastic about buying your Eagle silver rather than Vienna Violin silver on account of the fact that the eagle is legal tender in America and more known and recognized, and vice versa in Austria with the "weiner" coin, and the premium that they pay to you will reflect that. If you're asking though if you'll get more bang for your buck buying this one over that one and eventually selling it to a LCS or dealer, the Austrian coin would probably be better due to the huge premiums on Eagle coins and the fact that you won't get most of it back when you resell because the buyer has to make a profit when THEY resell it too.

I saw that leddit post about a guy who took a bank loan to buy some physical silver and it got me thinking he made a pretty smart move shorting the dollar and going long silver at the same time. Now I want to go get a bank loan myself so I can fund my margin trading account and buy call options on silver miners. That should give me insane leverage on the price movements of silver right? Silver is more suppressed, which means its worse it Comex doesn't break, but better if it does.
Other than that Silver is much less value dense allowing greater divisibility, but takes up more space.
Current silver focus has made its have massive premiums, so if you don't feel like its going to rise, go gold.
With gold you want to by at least 1/10 of an ounce bars or coins to avoid premiums being too high.

The problem is that you aren't accounting for tail risk. Taking out a mortgage to buy a house doesn't have as much tail risk because A) the loan is secured by the property, B) short sales are a pain in the ass for the bank so they'll cooperate with you, and C) the underlying land has a value floor. You'd have to work real hard to fuck that floor value up. Like, the lot my house sits on would sell for the amount left on my mortgage, probably.

Silver mines on the other hand have none of those things. What if you take out a loan and buy silver miners at a silver spot price of $30 and silver crashes to $10 and stays there for years? A lot of those miners are going to be tits-up, your value floor is $0 and you still have a loan to repay.

>If we believe silver is going up
It's more than believing, it requires being right. That's the downside with leverage, it's risk/reward. If you're asking us retards for advice you probably can't gauge the risk properly, so don't invest funds you can't afford to lose.

>shorting the dollar
Shorting the dollar is fine, that's what you do with a 30 year fixed rate. The problem is shorting the dollar over a very small time period against a volatile asset.

>>29619544
Some sort of OnlyFans/silver mashup would probably net you insane profits. Remember that chicks sell used panties to internet weirdos, selling coins that have been on her tits or up her gooch would probably be equally lucrative. Reddit is probably full of losers that would pay $100 for a 1 ounce round that's been inside a chick's snatch. You need to find the willing woman and to find and market to the audience.

You'll either get trained real quick or get smoked real quick, but so will a lot of people. If shit really goes pear shaped you can figure that each week you make it gives you an expected lifetime of some multiple of that time - the initial cull is going to be fucking brutal.

>>29620751
We went over this last year on /cvg/, it's a lot like stacking in that you need to decide how much you can spend and how much you want to spend. Rice, beans, salt, and a multivitamin will keep you alive for a long while on not much money, except that you'll want to kill yourself. You could spend $5K on food or you could spend $50 on food. How much you need for how long is the question. Same with emergency cash. If your scenario is ATM not working for a week and you need to buy some incidentals, $50 in smalls is sufficient. Double that if you think you want to gas up the car. Funs and fun food are the big fixed expenses since it's hard to spend less than a grand at the moment. A gallon jug of bleach will purify a lot of water - if you can get water. If you want to store water, water is basically free and storage containers are too, if you know where to look.

Etcetera.

Irving Resources, Dolly Varden, Silver One, Silver Sands, Skeena, and Starcore International would give you a good mix of gold and silver exposure as well as a balance between producers and explorers in different jurisdictions. All of these are junior mining stocks and will be volatile. Please research any mining company thoroughly and be patient as an investor. All junior miners will have good days and bad days.

You dont know whats going to be hot, so you collect all of them and stay a net collector overtime, like businesses. If you want to get into trading you dont trade it based on price movements or whats getting hot, you trade the spread. As the dealer/trader you make your money by providing liquidity and a market to those who want to buy and/or sell. You buy lower than spot and selling higher than spot, known respectively as the bid/ask price. I make more on copper than i do on silver than i do on gold (margin wise) since the spread is huge on copper and lower on gold. However gold is almost always bigger purchases so bigger number, but less percentage. Good luck.

Only reason to hold physical is to hedge against a Great Depression or a total system collapse, imo. If you're trying to hedge against a 70s Stagflation scenario where there's massive economic damage but not complete societal collapse, miners are the way to go.

You will get raked across the coals for this comment but your argument is compelling and I actually agree with it somewhat. Taking advantage of leverage now with your capital by buying mining stocks would actually allow you to purchase more physical throughout the bull market (if you regularly take profits to put into physical), than if you buy physical first, and miss out on the leveraged gains of mining stocks. There is no wrong or right way, but people may (incorrectly) state that your idea is wrong.
