QNT & SDX (SIX exchange) basically confirmed!
This is 100 times bigger than any partnership Fantom has ever achieved.

QNT is just a 500 million marketcap.
FTM is already at 2 billion.

QNT should be valued 5x of FTMs marketcap minimum.

Literally fundamentally and absolutely destroyed by the eternal crypto student: Ari Paul. Better put your tail between your legs and wimper because you and your VAPORWARE GHOSTCHAIN with no adoption got BTFO.

Quick summary from the entire thread:
>literal ghostchain that doesn't exist yet
>guy in charge uses his meaningless resume in an attempt at shilling his vaporware to banks
>uses buzzwords to hide the fact that Quant does nothing but make API calls to PERMISSIONED systems (reminiscent of Link being just a JSON parsor, only that this isn't a meme)
>nothing but vapid press releases regurgitated ad nauseum
>twitter trolls reminiscent of iota & xrp shills from 2017 (see how that turned out)
>literally goes AGAINST meritocratism by hiring family members into positions of power
So who should I believe? An anti-meritocratic nepotist with meaningless resume who thinks he's capable of building an api-caller based on sound game theory, or Ari Paul: The eternally ambitious crypto-student?

There's your reason why it's 500m MCap.

Only that ETH had first-mover advantage and your shitcoin doesn't even have a working product yet, while Cosmos and Polkadot are already established powerhouses bustling with adoption. Cope.

Polkadot's limited slot system allows for parachain auctions which satisfy game theory and exclude unworthy products from the ecosystem. Quant's licensing model does not and will ultimately swamp the market with shitcoins. Few understand this.

That's definitely the main way DOT beats shit like NEO, imo. Stops just any old crap larping at being connected to it.

Quant isn't really taking anything like the same approach, though - they're trying to actually sign up IRL corps, govts etc (successfully so far) to actually us their shit in the real world.

As much as DOT and the like have made me killer money, they're ultimately just crypto-to-make-more-crypto circlejerks. None of them do anything except support other crypto projects, and so on and so forth.

This is true, but more of a comment to make in summer 2018 or something when the only way to judge QNT was by Gil's background. There's rather a lot more to it by now.

> the network "doesn't exist" yet

I'd say that Quant's product is far more advanced, and certainly with more real-world applications and usage right this moment, than 99.99% of crypto projects out there.

Even if that were not true, it doesn't matter. All he'd be saying is that Quant hasn't reached its final form. Might as well complain than it's only rank 100 yet, as though that is legitimate fud.

There's plenty of valid points of criticism to level at Quant but that guy (are we meant to know who he is) is not saying anything relevant or anything that doesn't also apply to every other crypto out there (i.e. many companies fail, and the product offering isn't complete yet. So...?)

RIP Fantom.
...
This is way worse than the avax implementation bug which didn't affect the consensus layer at all, the entire fantom chain has been frozen for 3 hours now and we just learned from the horses mouth itself that these two validators have enough validation weight (1/3rd) to double spend on the network. Fantom only supports up to 1/3rd faulty nodes (vs Avax's 4/5th), which right now means only those two nodes would have to collude to double spend ...

2 billion for a broken chain vs. 500 million for the next worldwide DLT-network standard.
Tough decision.

>i want legitimate criticism

The primary criticism from our PoV is that Gilbert is avoiding a flash-in-the-pan moon mission by not playing le crypto meme game. All other projects pump through exchange listings, circlejerk partnerships, flashy promo shit and direct manipulations.

For better or for worse, Quant is refusing to go down that path. Will it be it downfall or perhaps the best choice they could have made?

In any case, its performance has been about on par with the other best performers this market cycle, if you look at the numbers objectively.

In the end there are alts that win, and alts that don't. QNT is clearly firmly established in the former category. The differences between the different alts that win isn't that great, and mostly depend on when you entered and how you want to cherry pick the price/time ranges.

>> No.29688415

OP, I really want to like QNT, but I cannot understand it. Is it just another ETH killer? Why would I invest in it? For memes, just like FTM?

Centralized shitcoin owned by banks.
If banks wanted to make you rich they would have already.
Its just another XRP.
