is it possible to have real friends at work?
Every time I forget that I don't have friends at work, I confide in them and it backfired.

Imagine spending 1/3 of your life in a shitty job paid for peanuts, and not being able to talk freely to those around you and talking like a robot. It' the life of a slave and a prisoner

I work with a bunch of deanos and they're all super nice friendly lads but they aren't very interesting and I have no desire to ever hang out with them after work.

Most coworkers will just take advantage of you and use you for their own personal gain. One thing I miss about being a fastfood worker was banging roasties. it always lead to drama, but I never cared

Ive never worked a job where I dont get along really well with people whether its some older lady or some dudebro or some ive revealed my power level to. Its fucking great. Gone out drinking a few times and hung out too. Even played some vidya with my boss at his house. This is coming from someone who if they arent doing this its staying indoors shitposting and not even seeing the Sun for days at a time. Life's great if you know how to finely tune your autismo.

Pretty much, honestly if you're even remotely non-typical in any workplace then the ability to blend in like a chameleon is a god send. Like I said the lads are actually nice and decent people but deep down I am really not interested in the same stuff as them desu.

There is no separation between your social life and your work life.
You'd likely help your fellow employees before your "real" friends.
Unless you put a lot of energy into maintaining the separation. Most people don't.

A current cultural phenomenon here in the UK. Lads who left high school 2-5 years ago and couldn't/didn't go to university and now they all work in tacky newbuild housing estates with horrendously high fixed mortgages, buying tacky luxury goods and cars all on finance and this is all afforded by working high stress commission type sales jobs which is all you can get nowadays really if you don't have a degree or a trade skill.

That's a beautiful dream, OP, having someone to trust. I hope you'll find it , someday. I myself have not. In the meanwhile, stop being a pussy faggot, grow a set, and realise IT'S A FUCKING JOB, not your personal support group.

>> No.29746890

there are no real friends at work. it's all about whether a coworker can make you grow higher up. it's just a utilitarian relationship.

if you think otherwise, think like this... what if you leave your job, your so called "friend" is nothing more than an old "friend". would you reach out to him? for what reason?

exceptions exists, but that's rare.

Also I should mention that drama usually only occurs when you're working with woman and basedboys. A blue collar job usually has a bunch of men that get along well and talk shit to eachother all day, even if they don't like one another. Its pretty fun.

I don't recommend it. When it comes to anything non work related i would never trust a co-worker. Although i know most of the people at work are legitimate real life friends who hang out after work and what not, they are gullible normies.

A lot of adults these days have no opportunities or time to socialise with people outside of work colleagues, so often that's the only social circles they can feasibly have, even pre-corona. It's pretty sad honestly when you think about it.

We have this here in Germany too. They now all post about bitcoing WhatsApp/telegram/fb scam groups you have to pay for everywhere. It is super cringe. They all drive expensive cars and live in expensive apartments etc. They are all super normie and very low IQ.

True. Hanging out with coworkers is a poison. You hangout, you forgot you're JUST coworker, not friends. Because everybody is PLAYING as if they were friends. You drink a beer or something, you confide in them. And the next day they shit in your mouth and stick a knife in your back, because you said this or that yesterday.
