if I buy something on margin and have, say, $10k in margin balance, how often is interest charged on this? I know the interest rate from my broker (TDA) but I can't really find any information about how much this will grow over the course of a week or a month.

IMO GEVO will do very good under the Biden administration. If you zoom out enough, you'll see they did very well during the previous Dem administration, and then got crushed under Trump. Now they will again get a shitton of govt handouts and random executive orders and stuff, so I'm pretty hopeful. It will take a single good PR to send the stock above $15. Just look at what PLUG did with that scam they call technology.
Unfortunately it looks like momentum chasing speculator optimism about it has died.

Instead of the alcohol industry as a whole I view weed growing similarly to wine production. In my home country, the small wine producers absolutely btfo large ones. They take up like 80% of the TAM. The rest is very low margin medium quality wine.
This is because wine is relatively easy to make, as opposed to e.g. whiskey, and similarly to weed.
In fact, weed is extremely easy to grow. It's harder to kill that fucking plant than grow it.

You do not understand that cannabis is heavily regulated and in the states; you must have a vertically integrated operation in order to get intot the cannabis game. You must produce and distribute under the same house. Wine is a far different medium than cannabis. Cannabis can't be distributed unless it's in a specifically designated place approved by the city/county. This makes the supply chain much thinner and harder to get into because of all the red-tape and expensive startup costs. Which is why cannabis in the United States has the most money supporting it. You also have a private sector willing to hold up the industry from failing. such as REIT's like
>PW
>IIPR
I know cannabis is still in its infancy according to the market. We still have a plethora of states to go recreational by 2024.

Holding stocks is the same as buying them every day. If you wouldn't buy it, don't hold it. On the flipside, if it went down, but you know it has a ton of potential and would buy the dip, just keep on holding it. This prevents the "buy high sell low" effect.

90% of the people here think that the as long as they don't go below cost basis, they are OK. This is BS. The cost basis doesn't mean anything. The avg buy price doesn't mean anything. Lost potential profits are lost profits. Opportunity cost is cost.
Looking at cost basis is only good for reevaluating past strategies.

Faceblindness is actually more prevalent than you think. Like 5% of people have it, but they don't even realize.
Most cope by remembering hair styles or clothing, and often get into seemingly random social issues.
It usually also means diminished capacity to recognize emotions on other people, furthering this problem.
It is often confused with autism for this reason.

Once I realized I have it (and got tested), my life got 10x better. Also turns out it's hereditary, and I inherited it from my mom, who also didn't know.

Also, once ABNB offers air booking deals to complement their booking they have now, you better believe there's going to be an even bigger leap.
