Just search mom's coin jar or ask any old people at church for the coin jar, pay them in cash so they don't have to coinstar it or search it and offer them a decent amount of money. I'm gonna send my mom out to her church to do so.
Searched a large dill pickle jar worth of coins, found
>Some Canadian pennies
>Around 220 copper pennies
>10 dollars of nickels (worth face value but I'm stockpiling nickels)
No silver at all, found a few 1965's but no 1964's. Still happy with the haul and came out with a little over a pound of copper. And yes, I did pay her face value for the coins I took.

Barrick Gold (NYSE:GOLD)
>We are maintaining our Action List BUY recommendation; our target declines slightly to $30.00 (from $32.00). We believe that Barrick's share price has under-performed relative to Newmont over the past several months because of its lack of a structured dividend policy and concerns about M&A (to be fair, management is vocal on potential M&A). But we also believe that management's history of value creation and its "conservative and considered" approach will be well served. As Mr. Bristow noted, we believe that Barrick has enough "checks and balances in [its] executive team to go out there and [not] do something stupid".

>Arbitrage is our future
At some point it falls apart. A while back I was looking at a specialized machine tool and your choices are vintage Western or new Indian/Chink. The Indians and Chinks were all brokers reselling (as far as I could tell) one or two brands, crappily photoshopped with different trade dress. I finally found one company from India that had a video of the machine operating, running dry - not cutting, not making anything, not demonstrating resolution or repeatability, just plugging away on the air. Makes you doubt the quality of what you get if these fucks don't even know what it is they are reselling.

As the West declines, the chinks and poos will run out of suckers who can afford their arbitraged trash. I have doubts that they will be able to sustain themselves with their internal demands because their populations are overwhelmingly dirt scratching peasants. I dunno, I guess we will see what happens.

>> No.29885037

>>29884924
>everythng costs money, even money
yes

But for the anons that want to get into reselling I'm offering real info. Coins and bullion sell wholesale in your local bourse. Entry to the bourse costs several hundred to a few thousand dollars. Upon paying entry you can bid on wholesale lots of coins and bullion. But others can bid against you. Unless you have your shit memorized you'll either lose the auction to better people or lose money on the wholesale transaction because margins are very thin.

either way the bourse makes money off you.

I would say you want enough gold that you can comfortable move on your person on foot and enough silver that you could reasonably move with a ute.

Once you have a good stack that will protect you in times of crisis you should definitely invest in productive, lucrative investments and speculations.

Of course if shit goes to hell you will want a million ounces of silver in a vault under your fortified estate and enough armed trust worthy men to protect you and your community.

I suspect many intelligent stackers may one day be warlords in the event that the USA has another civil war. A civil war in the modern united states would last for decades, it won't be fought in fields by organized armies rather it would be like the Syrian civil war only 1000x worst with russians and chinese and europeans and japs supplying arms and supplies for different factions.

There was a really good interview on Kitco today where the guy laid it all out. Explained the entire picture of what's going on right now. Basically the market is made of retarded normies that haven't figured out were fucked yet, they believe official inflation stats and don't recognize the treasury yiel rate is a problem.

WE are like three steps ahead of them and each step in logical conclusion they make will have catastrophic effects on the market and will benefit us.

1st normie realization "oh no! I'm retarded! Corona was a hoax all along and there is no recovery because the" recovery has been happening this whole time! ". Market crash.

2nd normie realization" oh no I'm retarded and bond yield are really high." market crash.

3rd normie realization." Oh no inflation is really bad and I just realized that the government is lying about inflation rates"

4th normie realization

"oh no gold is a good hedge against inflation but its really expensive right now so I better buy it all up."

Each one of these will be a few weeks or months apart and will happen one at a time.

>> No.29887069

>>29886965
I think this is most likely how it will play out. Right now the government is trying to avoid printing more money than it has to. Not for budgetary reasons (we are long past that) but because sending checks directly into people's pockets is going to get noticed after a while from consumer price inflation. Eventually shit is gonna hit the fan again like in last March, the fed will have to step in with drastic measures, and the money supply will surge again. This might even happen a few times, maybe once a year, but each time the money supply will expand at an ever increasing rate to try to plug the holes in the sinking ship with ice cubes. I don't know when exactly we will be in "hyperinflation" but I think it is inevitable at this point.

>> No.29887129

>>29887003
I just realized this over the last week watching a bunch of analysts but this is exactly what's going on right now and why we are getting fucked so hard in precious metals. It's literally because normies and boomer investors are so retarded that we are literally six steps ahead of them and they haven't even figured out what we figured out a year ago that Corona is fake. This will be a one by one painful lesson for them as their entire world comes crashing down. One of the last and most painful lessons for them will be " oh no, the government lied about inflation rates."

And then we will make gains. We will make all of the gains and take their wealth and their land and their homes. We will take everything and not show one shred of sympathy or remorse because of how hard these morons have fucked our generation. These worthless, know nothing, weak spined, gullible government believing, easy life having, retarded rich mother fuckers who have everything handed to them. We will take all of it. We are so far ahead of everyone else and they haven't caught up yet. They are so far behind us that we easily forget. They still think that there is a "recovery coming" and that the economy is really "strong" and that inflation is less than 2 percent.

i dont think any pm type of exchange is going to happen in that sense. just not enough PM around to back a global economy, which is what it is ATM. this entrenchedness combined w scarcity of these resources means currency cant be meaningfully backed by it on any large scale. when gold was money it was money of kangs, not everyone. when copper circulated, there was no use for it like there is now in electronics.

barter is good, anything that allows one to become wealthier is good. i think hempcoin would work, best to keep PM out of the business of currency backing, thus no pretext for seizure.

remember, whatever the currency is backed by gets overvalued. you want hemp to be overvalued, bc its good, especially for soil rehabilitation.

stack copper tho, PM's have health benefits, so, I will always be pro stacking.

I keep wondering how am I getting fucked, what's the catch, etc etc. One of the biggest epiphanies I had of late was the recent discussion across /biz/ of the 10 year yield. I would say maybe 5% of people on /biz/ even remotely understand the significance of yields hitting 1.5%, and maybe 1/4 of /pmg/. And I would consider /biz/ way more savvy when it comes to investing than the average normalfag.

People honestly have no idea what's coming. I view crypto and meme stocks as pure speculation, I recognize they can go to zero, they will have sharp crashes, they are not a hedge against inflation or a store of value, but I can multiply my wealth several times over in a short period of time. There are ACTUALLY people that think it's a hedge against inflation, think about that.

Anyway, I go back to The Big Short, because Michael Burry (at least in the movie) entered his short position way too early. His thesis was right, but he was getting fucked because of the timing even though the fundamental in the market were making themselves apparent. I see a very similar situation now. COMEX deliveries are surging, people can't get their hands on physical metal without insane premiums, and yet THE SPOT PRICE ISN'T BUDGING. Furthermore, mining stocks, which are leveraged to the price, seem to not even react accordingly to the overall market. The market is not fucking rational right now. I firmly believe the thesis is correct, I'm sticking the course, even if the speculative fervor can still go on for another year or two and I'm too early.

I've thought about trying to multiply my wealth this whole time and I kinda wish I had but I've had a lingering and gradually growing feeling that I need to be in hard assets to protect from hyperinflation that could happen at any moment. Especially after corona. I probably could've just put a tiny bit in and multiplied it but I dunno I just couldn't bring myself not to invest fully in PMs.

Nope, not a lot of historical data pertaining to the shambling corpse of an economy that we have right now, and even if there was who knows what political ramifications a collapse would have.

One thing for certain is, the big names are putting their wealth in assets. Bill Gates and many other billionaires are apparently investing in farmland. Bill Gates specifically now owns the largest amount of farmland out of any single person in the United States.

Whatever is coming, it's going to be bad.

This is true in basically every field that doesn't boil down to grug tier knowledge and instincts. Normies have no choice but to trust their instincts and received tradition or to trust people in authority because their brains literally can't hold enough useful data about the world to make informed conscious decisions. This is where the midwit curse comes in. They're willing to override their instincts but not smart enough to really make their own decisions, so a corrupt authority leads them around by the noses for a while.

You aren't wrong, but what you're missing is the fact that deflation was taking place during and prior to the plandemic as economic uncertainty compels people to save rather than spend. That's why the government was printing trillions and trillions of dollars and prices stayed more or less the same. Now things are normalizing and the spending floodgates are opening. Its really awesome being such a high caliber of a man that you can command a woman like that and she will do her best to please you and have it be in a loving relationship at the same time. Really the pinnacle of masculinity in my opinion. Something ive earned through my pursuit of developing and challenging myself as a man over the years. By having the balls to through myself in several arenas whether they be social or personal. Something you will never have.

I think about the personal growth I've had through fighting other men in hand to hand combat. market. The market is not fucking rational right now.

Here's my take and I wish I could explain this in a video format. Here's what i think is happening.... Call me a schizo or whatever but we all know Wallstreet has algorithms to trade and they collect data from investors on trading apps and brokers. They then bet against us even with our own brokers betting against us. Now this works normally, but the thing is that these waves of new investors all cramming into one stock completely breaks their system. Their algorithms can't handle it. This is unprecedented. This is why meme shit is all the rage now with unheard of returns. They are breaking the Wallstreet sandbox when normally these types of movements would be quashed back down.

Well, heres my chance to see if i understand what the fuck is going on.

Bond 'yields' are just a measurement of how profitable a bond is at its current price - assuming of course the issuer has the means to meet its obligations and not default. If the bond goes down in price, the yield goes up(because the interest payments stay the same, but you get the same bond at a cheaper price, meaning you get a higher roi)

Of course, bond prices can go down for many factors(and inversely the yields can go up), including rising interest rates(making new bonds more attractive) and perhaps most importantly of all - the ownerrs of bonds can fear that the issuer will not be able to meet its obligations OR, in the case of government bonds, the fiat currency they are paying the bond in will depreciate much faster than the potential reward of the bond.

QE is implemented by the government to keep bond yields low, because in this insane artificially low interest rate environment, rising bond yields cause capital flight out of highly speculative assets(the entire fucking economy) and into '''cheap''' bonds. So when yields hit 1.5% recently, it meant that the QE they have been doing hasnt been enough and they will have do an insane amount more just to keep this house of cards from tumbling down.

I dont know why ANYONE with half a brain would buy a government bond in any case, loaning money to a government in any circumstance seems like absolute insanity to me.

I hope i have got this right and have not exposed myself as a complete retard.

>Michael burry and Peter schiff claimed they saw 2008 coming from a mile away.
Schiff saw the housing bubble but I'm almost 100% certain he lost money on his investments in the 2008 crash. It's one thing to listen to Schiff opine on a bubble economy but it's another thing to either take his investment advice or allow him to manage your money. Schiff is a terrible investor.

Burry is the real deal. Not only did he see the housing bubble, he also was the first person to figure out how to trade the housing bubble bust. Furthermore, the way he insisted on certain clauses in the CDS was a thing of absolute beauty. He knew Goldman Sachs would try to fuck him in some way once the trade went against them so he put in a clause that required GS constantly put up collateral as the trade went against them. There would be no way for GS to go bust and then renege on their CDS obligations.

If you're willing to risk a little bit of money, you should take out as much equity as possible in your house into a low-interest, *fixed-rate* mortgage and keep the money in US Treasury bills while waiting for the stock market to go bust. When the market cracks, swap the Treasuries for a diversified index and lock in the carry trade. Slowly pay off the mortgage and let inflation destroy the debt while the equities should do better in high inflation than debt.

If the market doesn't crack for whatever reason after some period of time you decide to way, you can sell the Treasuries and pay off the mortgage to end the carry trade. You'll lose the interest and fees origination fees.

Reminds me of a belangp video where he clickbaited something like "400% APY rate of return!!!" and basically the video was that if you regularly drink whisky like he does then you can buy it in bulk and save a ton of money, effectively earning 400% APY on the money you would have spent anyway. This can be applied to a lot of general items.

Don't be so sure, if you have a variable rate mortgage they'll jack up your rates like they did in 2008-2009 to cause the housing crash. Even some "fixed rate" contracts provide stipulations that the rates can change during periods of extreme inflation. They make sure they get their money somehow.

Schiff in all likelihood stole the idea for the CDO short trade from Burry just as John Paulson and Kyle Bass did. I had to navigate the markets during the bullshit housing bubble and kept track of most of the players. Schiff was right about the bubble but there were far more successful people than him when it came to either profiting off the bubble or avoiding the harm from the bubble. Clients of EuroPacific Capital lost their asses.

Saylor is an idiot. When he put MicroStrategy's money into Bitcoin and people criticized Bitcoin's volatility, he confused the volatility of UST interest rates with the volatility of the UST price and stated that Bitcoin was less volatile than Treasuries. He doesn't know what the hell he's doing in the financial markets and if he doesn't lose all of the company's money on Bitcoin, it'll only be because he got lucky.

That's sad. It was only a day or two ago that I was speaking with a friend and complimenting how well Norway has managed its revenues from the North Sea crude oil to build up an over $1tln sovereign wealth fund. Australia's has an SWF but it's only got something like $100bln in it. Norway is punching way above its weight class.

I don't know the real situation in Norway but it would be a terrible thing if the SWF were squandered on immigrants, if they're the kind of immigrants I suspect they are.

Gold isn't in itself a productive asset, it is good money that is for sure but Hitler when he became the leader of Germany in 1933 found himself at the head of a country with no gold. He really had no choice but to issue paper currency. Consider if we returned to a gold standard today, who owns the gold? Most gold is owned by central bankers and governments. The main problem afflicting the west today isn't the lack of gold backed money, rather our fiat currency is the symptom of a greater problem, that is the international jewish financers.

China grew so strong over the past decades from having a strong state bank, modern china is in no way communist other then in name, rather the Chinese are national socialists. I am sure that if Hitler was alive today he would look to China as the ideal framework to build a new Germany.

James Rickards puts it into great words in one of his books. Economy is science, but most economists treat it as ideology. How else would you still run with keynesian economics or think that MMT is a valid theory. Many of the fundamental assumptions are just plain wrong, i.e. that markets act rationally or things like money velocity is constant.
That said, Keynes was great, but he's widely misunderstood by his vocal followers.

In all these states where central banks sink their hooks productivity falls, birthrates fall, debt increases and the percentage of the population engaged in 'financial services' skyrockets.

The financiers killed Japans economy by filling up a massive real estate and stock bubble in japan and then popping it. It was all by design and now 30 years later japan still haven't recovered economically, the damage has been so severe that Japan is in a demographic death spiral.

I believe what happened to Japan is currently happening to America. However compared to Japan America will be tortured by civil war, inflation, government failure e.c.t

The international financiers are moving their base of power to China it is pretty obvious.

>it's the ideal 'buy the dip' scenario.
Basically this. "buy the dip" always comes off as cope, but in this case it's warranted. The dip is not sustainable. Interest rates MUST come down, or the entire economy comes down instead. It is not mathematically possible for interest rates to rise anymore than 2-2.5% without a cascade of effects that would destroy the global economy. This is why I am so confident through all the dips. The fed has NO CHOICE but to lower rates by any means necessary, or the federal government can't pay interest on its debt, corporations can't pay their debts, bond yields will be out of their ability to pay, it just doesn't work.
