It's 3rd place market capitalization, the buzz around it, the momentum is illegitimate and has certainly not positioned it to be the obvious and rightful ETH killer. A smooth roll out of the fork tomorrow probably won't have any positive impact on price. If any thing more people might sell because "it's a done deal". Good news has often been heavily anticipated beforehand and the market tends to reflect the anticipation. So contrary to popular belief, once good things get released, prices tend to go down.

If it goes down it will be temporary and should recover pretty fast, but we have many new people here who might panic because of the contradiction.
