No bullshit presales, rug pulls, pajeet scam coins, gas fees, uniswap, dexess, just primarily trading btc and reliable alts.

Update* I decided to put all my profits into btc right after I closed my leverage long ( and before that I actually scalped a long cause why not lol, for a +5%). I will be sticking with inverse btc perpetuals and once I get to $300 I will split some into usdt and trade alts. I already made +70% profits and the +5% scalp so even if btc shits the bed I don't really care as I will be usually hedged over night if I have a bearish sentiment.

quick question, my friend scalps and he says essentially that if your position is too big, market makers will stop loss you out. Is there any truth to that? He seems to think the market has it out for him personally, but if you look at the actual volume he is a tiny tiny blip (even though he makes a ton of profit), and when I do his trades with him, I can put in bigger positions than he does and the trades still work.

The market makers will always attempt to stop out the retail traders mate. As for your question it depends on the volume if its btc with 20k then ur friend is paranoid but with alts I woulnd't be surprised especially the low cap ones. ie low volume and especially during weekends. There are definitely bots out there that will start selling when you market buy a large position (multimillions for btc) but generally with 20k I doubt it unless its a super low cap.

I went on phemex today and they gave me a free $10 so I leverage traded bitcoin with it with 100x cuz fuck it. There was a steady uptrend then the most random red candle came in and closed JUST below the liquidation price and then bitcoin quickly recovered. I’m talking within seconds of liquidation at 47K, bitcoin then proceed to jump to 50K

Someone should start an exchange that purposely denies bots the ability to trade, so that people know they are only dealing with actual buy/sell orders from other people who need to physically click buttons to change their orders.

Majority of exchanges use api so bots are inevitable. Not to mention just cause 1 exchange doesn't allow bots it wouldnt really change anything since you can just trade the coin on other exchanges. This gets into arbitrage as well, which unironically uses bots lol.

Captcha.
>Not to mention just cause 1 exchange doesn't allow bots it wouldnt really change anything since you can just trade the coin on other exchanges.
All the more reason to use said niche exchange, its prices will be slow to adapt to changes and will form its own unique pricing bubble, higher or lower.
>This gets into arbitrage as well, which unironically uses bots lol.
Well, they would need to physically buy it themselves. They could use bots off platform, but not on. Maybe to interpret data from this theoretical exchange, but not to make trades on it automatically.

Yep I leverage traded and made my first 10K pretty quick a few years back after practicing trading on paper for a few months. lost it all after being liquidated when I got cocky and over leveraged. I made it back but I learned a VERY valuable lesson about taking profits A.S.A.P and to limit my position sizes.
>>30018467
If you limit yourself and take profits you can steadily make gains. It’s all about not acting like a greedy fucking pig and leaving while you’re up.

10x is fine for bitcoin if you are a professional, however 5 max would be better for newer traders if then are fine with risk. Im saying max btw mate lol.

>>30018885
I mentioned this in my old thread. You have to withdraw profits to fiat to your bank account otherwise you will eventually give in to greed.

Personally I trade no more than 5% at once, because if you lose 5%, then from the remaining 95%, you only need to make a little over 5% profit to break even again, but if you lose 50% of your account in a trade, then you need to make 100% profit to break even, which is much more work, for a beginner like me anyway.

So your losses might be linear, but the gains you need to break even after those losses are exponential, operating in that low range where they are very similar is a good idea. However if your reward:risk is greater than 1:1, and your success rate is greater than 50% (which it hopefully is), you can put more of your account on the line and you can calculate the optimal percentage you can use, I just try and have some logical justification for everything I'm doing, else it's more akin to gambling.

>> No.30019876

>>30016248
it is very simple to write or find a small program to monitor price and make orders for you. automate the stop loss and it won’t be placed in the order book until it’s about to be triggered
idk how this would shake down with options, if you’re required to book a stop loss

>> No.30020445

After getting into crypto and seeing how much you can make and how quickly It can be done, it ignites the monkey gambler brain within you. I literally made $3K a few hours ago. And when I was 19 I saw number go up and I felt like I just couldn’t lose. The thing is the faster you gain, the faster you can lose. Always remember that. It’s so ducking easy to lose 5K. But to gain it back can take literal weeks.

You’re strategy and reasoning is very good. Limiting yourself like that slows down your short term gains, but it also slows down your short term losses which thus maximizes your long term gains.

The crypto casino is good to make a quick buck, but it’s even better if you want to make literal millions in long term.

yes my man! I have been thinking about doing exactly that, I have done a fair bit of python in my day job and have recently begun looking at the binance API documentation. with leveraged positions/futures you don't have to have a stop loss, but the exchange can see when you will liquidate, however if you run cross-margin (entire futures account acts as collateral) your can essentially risk the entire account and have a very low liquidation price, but then you could trigger a sell order once it hit the price you would otherwise have hit stop loss at, so you would only lose 5% of your account or whatever you're comfortable with. So I think this method would make it so absolutely no one would be able to anticipate when you will be forced out of your position.
I have been wanting to write a Python API script anyway so a friend & I can share each others trades

Personally, I like 20x, I told myself I would stick to 5x after getting liq'd a few times with 20x. BUt 20x is how I made over 20k profit from 1k initial longing ~10k, ~13k and ~17k, I've only lost money shorting. If I just held my long from ~10k I would've made twice as much, the real problem is overtrading and position size, just scale into a good position and let it ride. Scalping or short term swinging is kind of a roll of the dice imo.
