Yeah without blockchain I don't even know how you would go about proving ownership. Back when I played RuneScape I walked up to people and said "I own your party hat" and they had to give it to me because there was no proof they owned it. Kleros court was always too full to settle the matter.

Bitcoin doesn't really exist it is digital, paper money doesn't have true value in itself, it all comes down to mass adoption
