What is a good asset allocation? I am about 30% cash/70% stock and worried my cash is too high. I want to buy the dip, but instead I missed out on gains. I even had the same allocation pre rona, and was buying dip, but dip didn't last long enough for my slow dca to buy in much.

I'll add to this: VST. Got hit hard by their Texas company, TXU, who had to buy power wholesale when prices were jacked up. TXU got caught in the middle of the shitstorm. ERCOT was ordering them to power as much as possible, even though prices skyrocketed. They announced that they expect a one-time hit of $900M-1.3B, causing their stock to plummet. The upside, though, is that they have enough cash and credit to cover the hit and stay afloat. Also, their CEO announced that they were going to donate $10M+ to families in Texas hurt by the storms and power bills, so there's good PR for them.
Not only that, but they're expecting to take on 1.3 million new customers because almost all the other power utilities in Texas are going under from being unable to pay for the wholesale energy they were forced to buy. That'll leave VST and NRG as the two major players left in Texas to scoop up all those customers.
I don't know when they'll bounce back, but I think they will, so keep an eye on it as we enter summer and those ACs start blasting.

The 3/19 expiration has 50c on them. I think today's volume on that expiration and strike was almost 80k and the volume on the 3/5 36c was over 100k. I was watching the time and sales for the 36c for a few hours and it was moving as fast as some low volume stocks do. i was red for like the first few months of 2018 when i started trading stocks
i dunno if it was because i was new but it really felt like a huge challenge to make money

by the time i tried bandwagonning on tech, that 2018 december correction happened and spooked me hard for the rest of 2019 (was a bobo cashgang for most of it)
Now 2020 happens.. didn't even buy back in until May, and it's so easy to just casually 2x your money every 2-3 months. Even now I still hope and expect to 2x my money by summer
