I bought the stock of a company called Cryptostar (ticker CSTR.V on the TSX). It grew from about $0.10 CAD to $0.70 in a month. It's a crypto mining and mining equipment company. There were others like Bitfarms and HIVE that started out as penny stocks and grew to $5.00 so I figured this thing might be the same. I bought in at $0.50 and instantly it started dumping. It has been dumping for days. I think it closed at $0.23 today. This piece of shit stock's chart doesn't even look like a stock, it looks like a rugpull scamcoin's chart. I am wondering now if there's even any recourse in a situation like this since to me it smells of a fraudulent PnD.

I heard about crypto in 2013, more specifically Bitcoin. I was around 14-15 at the time and didn’t think much of it, but it did seem interesting. I never did anything except for trying to mine some on my computer I had at the time. Well, time passed and I stopped doing anything with crypto and went back to my degenerate gaming lifestyle. In 2016, I read an article about Bitcoin again and it peaked my interest. The price had gone up a bit since I last heard of Bitcoin and I thought I was priced out. I saw ETH and thought I could maybe buy this instead, and perhaps make a little bit of money. I had $10,000 to dump into it. I joined random Ethereum groups and forums, but never really purchased the ETH. I had my money waiting to be spent and I was willing to put everything I had on either BTC or ETH. I was thinking more of ETH especially when it was at around ~$1+ mark. I felt it was too complicated to set everything up and had other stuff going on at the time, so I said to myself I’ll just wait a little while (aka procrastinate like everything else I do). Time kept passing like a motherfucker and I forgot about to buy, and before I know it, it reached big ATH at around early 2018 if I remember correctly.

Now I am an actual degenerate, and love to gamble, so I probably would not have sold and would have kept holding until today.

That’s my story, oh well.

Huge Half-Life fan. Bought it to play HL Alyx...read glowing reviews that this was the masterpiece to usher VR into the mainstream. Bought the hype, dropped $1000 for the full package.
Result was very....meh. Movement still feels clunky and there are many things that take you out of the experience (adjusting the headset, clipping through walls sending you into a wall of orange, passing your hands too close to the sensor, etc) making it not worth your time or money.
I've probably logged maybe 10 hours on it and haven't touched it since August. Haven't even beaten Alyx yet.
