Hey /biz/, honest opinion on IOTA?

Besides all the rapefugees memes and the CEO acting like a 16 years old throwing around hashtags while insulting people - i wonder if this coin has a good future?

The deals with a few German companies sound interesting, thoughts?

Memes aside it's a good altcoin. Good to buy in now since it's still quite cheap. It's not going to the moon but it's going to go up.

I remember during an AMA with all the developers one of the top questions about a certain scalability problem never got answered. A thread was made about it and the lead developer had a hissiefit and still didn't answer it.

After that I ended up selling. There's better coins.

It is a horrible coin. World class experts in crypto security openly mock the team. No other major coin is in this situation. The only people who shrills IOTA are low math IQ idiots.

Shortly before IOTA was revealed to have the worst security flaw ever in crypto, the CEO was complaining, literally publicly complaining, about the cost of blockchain programmers. He is a horrible leader. There is no way these losers can get their act together and deliver. Don't get stuck holding this potentially worthless shitcoin.

The fact that it has zero fees is a high selling point . I think with any coin there are buyers and sellers so they will give there opinion based on what they want the market to do. I hold IOTA because if the internet of things does happen it will be a powerful coin. Imagine being in your future lambo in the city and if you have to cross the bridge it transfer IOTA or finding a parking space and use IOTA (maybe with sensors) to pay for the spot. The possibilities are there. So I'll take the risk of a potential coin.
As far as my thoughts on White Genocide thing , in the US it would never happen. We have the right to bare arms.

I like the coin, but sold my 1.9Gi - the circulating supply is way to much to make speculative gains. Good steady growth over 50 years, but don't expect to get rich

I hold a few GIOTA but I'm honest enough to say their's a huge problem. IOTA requires hardware support to force vendor lockin. This can happen and attracted me to the coin. The problem with this is that IOTA cannot use a modular cryptography algorithm because they can't just change the hardware in the internet of things to make the update go through.

So with that, the problem is that their cryptography lead thinks it's good to roll his own algorithm because, *existing algos are too complex for humans to analyze so AI will find holes" and "it has to be quantum resistant". The latter is good. The former locks him out of using "best practices".

IOTA holders are now betting on the lead dev being enough of a mathematical savant that he will invent a new, quantum resistant algorithm that is simple enough that AI gain no advantage over humans in eyeing it for exploits.

It's a pretty fucked up bet for something that doesn't pay out on roulette odds. Doubly because IOTA is already a long hold.

I'll still hold for a bit in case Come From Beyond's manic episode ends or he finds his way out of his megalomania.

The price is all over the place. If you're good with 10-20% swings, I don't see the problem.
