3629283 No.3629283 [Reply] [Original]

Anyone else believe crypto is their one shot in the dark to get rich?

I made 30k this summer, and am buying all dips at 100%. My goal is to have 100k in crypto by end of this year.

Then the 100k will balloon to 2mil+ value and i retire early.

or

Its all a scam, i lose everything, and my retirement age becomes 65 instead of 35

Im going all in. You?

Essentially, except I've already got my 21btc; I will live or die with the success of this market.

Best bet is that in the short run institutional money begins to increase and drive up value; upcoming btc ETF approvals may catalyze this.

Price target for q4 2018: $20k

I have found that the more crypto goes up, the heavier I rely on it. I quit my real job because I think it will double within 6 years, and I can retire with that amount.

But it makes sense to rely on it heavily, because Its given lots of neckbeards a glimpse of retirement before 30. Its extremely hard to do that any other way.

I didn't have any hope before crypto. I thought I would wagecuck into my 50s, but if I can get good enough at this, my days of wagecucking might be over. My stack is worth about 13 BTC, and I would like to keep growing it.

If I could get to 20 BTC by the end of the year, that would be amazing.

I mean, you really use TA or more Fundamental? I really don't know what to do anymore; everytime I think I've got better at TA, I lost tons of money. Sure if you have dreams of owning a yacht, driving a lambo, and living in a castle you're going to need to shoot a bit higher but for a simple, comfortable, stress-free life it can be fairly obtainable.

At least it doesn't hurt your confidence to go on from there. Money alone is nothing, but well used money may improve many things step by step and due to those improvements you gradually improve in other areas (which normies manage to improve without much money).

Don't put all your eggs into one basket. Diversify your portfolio instead of just dumping into a single market. Crypto currency is hot right now and every other week a new coin comes out. It's not likely to go anywhere or surpass most of the traditional currencies accepted. You may find it hard to cash out as well unless you find some silkroad types trying to buy illegal materials on the internet with your crypto.

Until you can go to currency exchange station in any global airport and exchange crypto for
a physical currency it will be susceptible to a happening crash.

>BTC ATMs
Yeah only bitcoin. So when a cashout occurs from a happening everyone is going to dump all their other cryptos for BTC to empty out one of those few and far ATMs. East coast here only ever saw one in the wild in NewYork and family tells me there are at least two in Los Angeles Cali.

Even assuming that OP has only BTC (which I doubt it's probably all kinds of ridiculous coins) they still don't have a guaranteed way to cash out those liquid assets into tangible goods let alone rent or utilities unless they find someone to buy off them.

The more varied your portfolio is the more wiggle room you will have to perform various actions at various times. By going all in OP is willingly betting away all they worked for. It's very high risk but the reward may be worth it to them. From a business perspective its a short term pipe dream though.

These people need to hear that while money isn't everything it is a necessity for living in a capitalistic environment such as North America or the Euro-zone. Instead of looking for get rich quick schemes they should invest time and energy into finding meaning and purpose for something more than happiness.

Happiness is fleeting and studies show that even if some rando makes it big on crypto they are going to quickly adjust to their new life and be just the same they were before they were rich.

If you look to improve your life seek out something that gives you a true purpose. Something that will have people rely on you and your contributions. Purpose and meaning will give you a reason to go to bed at a reasonable hour and wake up without feeling like a neet.

$2m at 4% (widely regarded as the "safe withdrawal rate", Google it) would give you $80k per year to live off of, and would still theoretically allow your funds to grow (assuming an average of 7% yoy returns).

You'd be living better than 80% of American households at a lower tax rate (because long term capital gains is taxed at a max of 25% in America, which lowers your effective tax rate), and since your income is all passive you could easily pursue part time work or other methods of earning money with your time.
