Robinhood is a commission free stock trading app on iOS/Android

--Robinhood FAQs --
- VISIT THE WEBSITE FIRST DAMMIT!! - www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on the cash and securities in Robinhood accounts, much like a bank collects interest on cash deposits and by collecting fees from robinhood gold.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Around $47, I think. No reason for it to be down in the first place and we've gotten tons of good news this week, so it should rebound, especially as Christmas nears and people realize how much money Nintendo will be making between the SNES Classic and the Switch.
Odyssey already has a ~43% attach rate in the US after just a week and if that holds globally, it should break 5 million by Christmas.

>>4166530
That's just scalpers. I guess the supply issues aren't totally sorted out yet.
There's at least one seller on Amazon selling it at $299 with Prime shipping, and there's an official bundle with a (digital) copy of Odyssey and a carrying case, plus dark red joycons, for $380. The Splatoon 2 bundle might still be available at Wal-Mart as well if you want those colors.

Why is no one here learning? Earnings season has been a set up, they've been priced in all along. Big money is just herding people into ramping up the prices right before they cash out. If anyone wants to do an earnings play, the best bet is to sell when the price is ramping up at the end of the day before earnings are released.

I'm long XOM, AAPL, CVS, INTC, list goes on. All blue chippies that were low when I had a few hundred bucks to spare. Obviously it's been less profitable than some traders, but there's a lot of reasonable strategies out there in a good market. I buy things I don't plan to sell for over 10 years. If the market tanks, the companies I'm in are solid enough to outlast and I'll have nice low basis dividend reinvestments. Not counting my retirement accounts, I'm only sitting on a portfolio of about 12,000 dollars in taxable accounts. It wouldn't be a suicide moment if I lost it all.
