That was me in 2017. I rode the wave from 300k to 15k. Kept buying for 3 years and in 2021 I hit 2.2M. Cashed out 500k and rode the rest down to 400k. Sorta mad, still thankful I pulled the trigger and took profits. Id be suicidal right now otherwise, like I was in 2018.

The value is where the bids and asks are. Prices can change without any transactions. If 100 people have open orders willing to pay $100 and suddenly all of them say "holy shit I just changed my mind about how much I want this" and change their orders to $50 then the price drops about 50% immediately.

This all generally happens as an iterative process as the price drops and unwatched orders are filled but you get the idea.

Well I never had 400K, but I did somehow manage to score $7000 on an investment I made back in 2015 with an initial investment of only 99 cents, I can't believe I actually made that amount of money in 1 shot, it became our saving grace because we needed it to move away from here with whatever savings we had already saved up.
