Besides, genetics is more complex than smart mum + smart dad = smart kid. There are probably thousands of genes involved in intelligence and they interact with one another. Not downplaying being active and trying because thats important too, but do you really think all those guys who made it big off insider trading, knowing when exactly to sell/buy stocks because of pre planned events, and generally getting into any position of power did so just because they grinded, or more because they had friends/family in high places who let them in? Hell just look at Bill Gates, he went to a top of the line high school that had access to some of the most powerful and exclusive computers of his time. Its no surprise he would go on to develop a company like Microsoft, especially with all the general wealth and access his family had. Same exact story with Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, Trump, etc. How likely is it they would be anywhere close where they are today if they weren’t born into their respective families?
