Imo it went way better than expected. Eric seems all over LINK and wants to get stuck in as much as he can respectfully get away with. If anything i sense Sergey is keeping him at arms length somewhat, likely to do with VC takeover worries etc. he made a nervous joke about it early on.
It has been clear over the
years tht Sergey is somewhat an autist, and just focuses and talks about the work he is doing. I think Eric now being an advisor will be a great
positive influence and he’ll be able to pull Sergey out of his shell and
teach him some business skills and such.
Sergey is skilled and knows what he is doing, but he also has that "i will say minimal till its all done and let my work speak for itself" trait autists often have which is becoming a hindrance at this point. Eric knows that is actually a valuable strategy early on, and its how he built Googles massive lead. So you would think as an advisor he would know if it was
appropriate to continue this way for Chainlink as it has been. Schmidt clearly sees LINK has that massive, unbeatable lead now so the "hiding
strategy" is actually hurtful going forward. Its time for Sergey to learn from Eric and it was quite obvious he is saying now is the time to tell the world.
Schmidt even said in the talk that having a small lead over others in a
network is enough to dominate forever. its almost impossible to recover from it if you are second place. LINKs lead isnt small, its gargantuan. Eric sees it, he's telling Sergey to evolve.

after this listening to eric in this convo i eric definitely played a big part in sergay giving out roadmap and stating "staking and CCIP will be coming out this coming year" on New Years
i think Eric also played a big part in getting sergay to come up with Economics 2.0
sergay and chainlink seemed to transform after Eric became advisor
gonna be interesting to see how much sergey lets himself be influenced by eric and taking a more "monopolistic" approach

Schmidt is a brainlet who doesn't understand that mining pools are not centralized because you can freely withdraw and reallocate hash power if a pool starts acting shady, while in PoS you are forced to keep your funds allocated to whatever pools form there (Lido)
or he knows and is just spouting globohomo propaganda, more likely desu

either way, extremely bearish and it was insufferable seeing this faggot spout his nonsense and sergey licking his boots

At one point Chinese mining centralization controlled over 65% of the BTC hash rate. It doesn’t matter if the other 35% can reallocate. Eric literally spoke about that. Oh wait. You just want more time to accumulate LINK so you’re a fudding faggot

Eric said he's on a list because sir gay spoke loudly about his intentions to commit murder in future. He's on a watch list. Sir gay is an unhinged, psychopathic dipolar high functioning autistic and is planning to commit a horror against the human race. Eric is spot on, he should be on a list of people to be carefully monitored. This incel codemonkey is about to rewrite the code of human history if his precious little crypto project doesn't go well, and it'll be rewritten in blood. This man is a fucking danger to society and should be publicly recognized as such.

he's much better doing podcasts etc and he was good pre-covid but I guess the moment got to him and it's the first big in-person event for chainlink since zoom-era, there was a lot of people there and he cracked under the pressure, I'm sure he'll improve from this

It was more that he's uncomfortable at public speaking, and he has trouble gauging what sparks big responses from audiences.

For what it's worth; even highly experienced public speakers still have this. Veteran standup comedians for instance are still amazed whenever jokes bomb, which is why they invariably go to small clubs to try out new material first.

I'm keen to read the transcript for the 'you're on someone's list' comment. They had been talking about CEOs etc at that point. Jokes about hit lists aside, i think what eric was hinting at is that Sergey's leadership has not gone unnoticed. Perhaps he is up for some sort of award? This actually does seem likely, when you think about it. Sergey's focus and commitment to this project has been unwavering, and we've seen him come a long way since 2017. Also the connections made with banks, wef etc have been impressive. It makes sense to me.

>> No.51696837

Sergey had nothing interesting or inspiring to say so far. Is he suffering from imposter syndrome or something? I feel like I'm watching a 2017 pitch where they tell you to wait 10 years to see results, I'm thought covid was going to accelerate global adoption....

>Sergey's leadership
Considering his whole schtick is meant to be about centralisation, I highly doubt he wants to focus on leadership. Crypto is very paradoxical how normies want to see leaders, they just don't understand.

I understood it as regulators, lobbyists and secret services. And that's fairly obvious

All in all a solid conversation. Of course it's extremely bullish to hear a top5 most important tech CEO of our time to be fully on board. Sergey seemed to be slipping in between a joking mindset and a hyper focused hyper determined flow, that was probably my most important take. To me it seems this and Sergey's humility is want impresses Eric too. Serg left me with an impression there is even more in store. When Eric painted some grandiose impression of what he knows Serg is doing, the man himself only said 'that makes total sense'. Also it all seemed like an actual conversation. One last mention: Eric's view on AI analysing financial days on chain is interesting

That aside I did find I shared Eric's frustration that Sergey seems so opposed to company ambition. He wants to build his truth machine and seems displeased by company and financial growth.

I personally think Sergey is very impressive. Maybe he isn't at his best when it comes to dumbing it down to a general audience. But when he's in the zone talking about his big vision to real customers he is extremely convincing, it's almost scary desu. Now he's been joking with the audience in a really authentic way. Of course if they could have Eric represent more even if he's not a CEO that would be great. He is more hype and has a crystal clear vision on some of the things

I KNEW that after smartcon faggots would try spin Eric Schmidt into Fud especially if it went as well as it did, by trying to frame it at some kind of psycho or globohomo or manipulator. Whatever you fags could come up with. It was so obvious that the better it went the only direction you would be able to pivot to was this.

I don't think he is particularly great at that and it's nothing to do with dumbing down. He's just awkward. You can see it in this talk the very first time Eric hands it bsck to him, he just fumbles like a sweaty mad man for no reason lmao. Sergey would be really good as the 'second guy'.

I think it's those kind of situations that he isn't not yet used to. Imo he has more confidence in him than Eric. You need to get that dick out of your mouth lad. Relax that jaw. He's not being polite, he's constantly spilling spaghetti. He may be ultimately highly confident in the product but he's not confident interpersonally. Don't know how anyone could watch that talk and not see how Eric was mogging him. Sergey is so nervous half the time he doesn't even answer on topic.

It all comes down to Sergey ultimately being more confident in the situations that really matter. You can see Eric getting excited when Sergey zones in. I can see your point of view tho, it's obvious he's not a trained in PR. People with training know how to control their expressions whatever they feel internally. The thing is full control leaves no room for authenticity. I would even argue it's more confident to be a bit awkward, but authentic than to be portraying confidence via some methodology
