Imagine if the MIT professor who invented zero knowledge proofs and verifiable random functions decided to completely rework the concept of a decentralized smart contract blockchain. That professor is Silvio Micali and that blockchain is Algorand. Pure Proof of Stake is non-dilutive and actually allows for all nodes to get a chance at participating in consensus without concentrating the supply of ALGO into the hands of a few whales. i'm not talking about tps. it's the basic properties of the system: when can you be sure a tx went through? on algorand, the block is final once it's created, no guesswork or heuristics needed. how much does a transaction cost during the most stressful months of the year? same fixed price as always, a fraction of a penny. is there enough headroom so many businesses can build on it without contention? yes for algorand, tps max won't be reached for a long time. it's like the absolute basic things that most chains get wrong, algo "just works" much better
