you need to DCA out at least a portion of your stack when crypto is in it's euphoria stage, potentially increase the DCA-out amount as it rallies (i.e, sell more when it's worth more). you don't have to sell it all, but when it goes from $5k to $65k in a year, it's probably a good hedge to sell off at least some of it incrementally. buy it back via DCA'ing once it bottoms out and trend starts to reverse

Well consider it a lesson learned. Don't put your money into things with no intrinsic value. If you put it into something like Berkshire Hathaway you could experience a really bad crash and 100% confident that it'll come back given enough time. This is because they own real companies that provide valuable services and products. Bitcoin and all other crypto is nothing more than the internet equivalent of Disney bucks. You could provide some tortuous argument about specific cryptos having some niche uses but you could say the same about Disney bucks.
