nah just regular-liquid. gold used to be highly liquid but then everything got digitized and then hyper-liquid crypto made it seem even less liquid in comparison but gold is arguably about as liquid as stocks (while you can trade stocks online, after-hours trading is only available to big boys). there are bullion exchanges and metals desks in every city and pawn shops in every town.
if you want an extremely illiquid asset check out fine art and niche collector's items. also houses aren't very liquid and neither are used cars. gold is pretty liquid.
