On options this might be a good idea. Daily is excessively frequent the way I do swing trades.

Absolutely correct. In fact, in you have a good TA system for your swing trading, you likely would perform better if you were completely ignorant of all news current and upcoming soon.

Interesting. What would you consider to be the (I don't know the actual terms here) time range of actual curve movement for this notion to apply to, I'm assuming probably generally maybe minutes, hours at the most?

I'll be danged, so not knowing some major news wouldn't put you at much greater risk with a span that large? I suppose you're just eyeballing data points all during trading hours for that, and moving only according to that, but it just seems to me that some major news would increase the potential for a sudden blindside. Interesting consideration to ponder regardless.

I use chart indicators on 1day candles time frame. It's not necessary to watch the charts during the day as I have alarms set to let me know if there are any big moves in progress. Strategy hopes to ride momentum of a trend. The thing about news is the market doesn't always behave predictably in accordance. Bad news pump, good news dump, crab even when volatility potential seems high. This is particularly the case with earnings reports. I can't tell you how many times I got fucked over by bad earnings good guidance or good earnings bad guidance. I only trade leveraged index funds now as there is a lot less of that tomfoolery if I'm trading the entire market.

Manned fighters are mostly on the way out. Life support for a human body puts too many constraints on maneuverability and size. There will be niches for manned fighters, but for investment purposes drone swarms are the growth area. "Manned fighters that can launch drone swarms" wouldn't be fighters in the first place, but instead bombers and transports meant to avoid engagement.

Anti-drone defenses are likely to be the biggest growth area. Drones themselves will probably see a lot of under the table production, but defenses against them will be needed fucking everywhere, including in commercial private infrastructure, and they'll need to come from reliable sources with support contracts. I haven't looked at which companies to that yet.

spoke to a broker about this the other day (they're 24/7 on both Schwab and TDA). basically whats happening is that TDA accounts are moving over to Schwab over a weekend to as not impact trading. they are still keeping everything though including and especially ToS (which uses your TDA sign in)

you can also transfer assets early to Schwab and just do it on your own terms instead of being forced, no transfer fees right now. desu best to just xfer less actively traded assets early, and just keep one active TDA account for ToS until that gets moved over, in which ToS remains open too so literally no difference

That's normal for China. It's very progressive and modern. They enforce the zero COVID policy to achieve desired results, unlike the chaotic west. Surely you've seen Chinese official state media's reports that COVID was a bioweapon created by the US Army and released upon China in an act of western imperialism.

China routinely leaves massive piles of trash in the streets, which has many benefits such as creating jobs for trash collectors and saving time so people can get back to work. Weak westerners panic at the sight, but the loyal and hardened Chinese just go back to work, or to jail, or flee and become fugitives banned from society by the social credit system. Liberal leaders like Canada's Trudeau envy China's system, which enables it to protect the environment by becoming the world's largest polluter and simply faking the reported numbers, but they are unable to make progress because democracy and reactionary bigots keep getting in the way.

You'll be happy to know that the Party showed its support for Dear Leader Xi Jinping at this year's congress, where potential rivals eagerly gave up their positions and responsibilities so Xi's loyalists could take over - including the man who oversaw the Shanghai COVID lockdowns, who was promoted to the second highest post. Now that Hong Kong has been pacified, Xi promises to restore order to Taiwan.

You'll also be happy to know that foreigners are not permitted to have actual ownership of Chinese stocks, and must go through Chinese intermediaries, ensuring that foreigners will be able to helpfully donate their funds to the government should that ever become necessary.

This is all normal.

Personally I'm long and just buy dips with my salary. I buy only dividend paying stocks, so I don't care much about price movement. At least not as much as people investing in speculative assets. Pretty comfy way to invest, although I understand that people who have 4 figures portfolio are desperate to gamble in order to escape wage cage.

(Or not, frankly I don't need the money so I could let it reinvest till I'm dead). The benefit of having other income sources (Pension + a 401k + Brokerage + fat off the books bank account) is you don't need to rely on just one for nice retirement.

It's what a lazy fat ass would consume and genuinly say they are eating healthy as they get fatter which further deepens them into the mindset that's pushed out that you can be "healthy at every size" and that they arnt actually doing anything wrong and they believe they would be EVEN fatter if they didn't eat the overpriced cricket burger. My town actually has two KR stores of the same subsidiary chain less than 2000 ft from each other. I don't know why... My only guess is that one, the older one, is unionized, so closing it would be too much trouble... but they wanted a new store so they just built it down the street. It is a bigger, nicer, and newer facility. There's also another store from a different KR subsidiary a mile away. Very strange.

During the height of the pandemic Kroger really dropped the ball, at least near me. The produce section was honestly nauseating. They had entire vegetable and fruit display rotting covered in bugs. The first time I saw it I looked around in complete shock. Like is anyway going to clean this shit up? If I was an employee there, I don't care what department I was in, if I saw that I'd do something about it. It's just embarrassing.

People already forgot that during the plandemic lockdowns, where about two thirds were not working, the system kept on chugging along nicely.
I guess that more than 50% of human input which is nowadays defined as "work" is obsolete and unneeded entirely.
