I make 1,000 a week as a hod carrier because of prevailing wage but masonry is basically the most physically demanding trade and the cold makes everything worse

Companies actually do this? I would quit on the spot.

Kek that doesn’t sound legal. If you’re a wagecuck isn’t your comp in writing?

>> No.52725657

I had it in writing under a different job title. I switched roles but I've been working under this job title and pay for months so I doubt it's legal

service industry shenanigans are wild. Probably going to quit after confirming it's not a mistake

This is why I keep a girthy stack of cash on hand. If a customer or manager wants to be an ass to me, I'll be an ass right back, I know it'll get me fired, bit I've got cash savings to keep me afoot

There this 70 year old woman that works at my wagie job who looks like pick related. Everyone bullies her because she dumb and slow it's hilarious. The girls tell me she cries in the bathroom sometimes lmao

>What'd you argue about fren?
This brand new manager instantly made changes to my bar setup and work process (without ever observing the flow of the place) that made my work nearly impossible and extremely frustrating during busy shifts. He was also implying I was lazy and just not working hard enough despite me being the place's best bartender according to every non-manager I work with. I just argued against the changes. I never insulted the guy but was definitely aggressive to him

Hahahaha I hope you’re with some chain because if you’re working for a mom and pop diner they can just ignore you when the IRS knocks

I don't know how to get a job. I feel like my only option is mcdonalds since I'm not good at talking to people. I'm 34 trying to escape NEETdom.

used to work a similar job. I would have quit, called health and safety to shut them down for a few days (they were a shithole) and then done grey area actions to the manager

That makes me sad.
She probably gets stressed out during lunch rush and fucks up everyones orders and gets yelled at.

If she's putting up with that shit job, then she must have fucked up royally at some point in her life

just don't show up and tell them you said you weren't available those days already
either they'll take it because they need you, or they'll fire you and you'll save yourself the stress of working for a shitty employer

I left neetdom and have been working as litter control out of a landfill for the past two months. It's been comfy. I get paid more than 15 an hour (17 soon) to just walk in the beautiful countryside and make sure it's clean. Unfortunately even the rural roads are filthy (Southern MD, a lot of D.C. and Baltimore movers and types throwing their shit out the window) but I'm not a fat ass so it's incredibly easy. The exercise is good either way. Some days we just ride around in the truck and I just get paid to read and sleep.
I fail at 90% of social interactions but I'm not the most autistic guy at the landfill so my social failures don't stick out. I also get to keep cool stuff. So far I got an old typewriter, a wii with the cables, a verizon phone, some tools, and memory sticks.

If you're not good at talking to people I'm not sure McDonalds is the best option. You'd have to rotate positions and constantly talk with customers and coworkers. Sounds like Hell to me
