I do this as well. I have a decent paying job making $80k /yr and I work nights so sometimes I will check out indeed to see if there are any chill daytime jobs just as some additional supplemental income.
The way the job market is set up your options are basically as follows:

Rent a shitty duplex in a quiet suburb, have a wife and 2 kids that I support on my own, wife stays home with the baby and the 3 year old goes to the church across the street for a little daycare/preschool 3 days a week. 2021 i did will with trading so that boosted my income by about 33%. This year has been a struggle. Only lost 5k trading, but had some other opportunities for money fall through. (I also play in a metal band and we had 2 tours get canceled or postponed). It sucks but I'm not going to stop trying. Every month that I successfully keep a roof over our heads, my confidence and pride increases.
