Some shaddy stuff is happooning on WSS. Ditch started to report heavy anomalies concerning silver's comex earlier this week, with all the data to back it up, and all of a sudden he got b& from plebbit and twitter, post history deleted..
Heavy REEEing ensued, and suddently the mods are claiming it was some kind of bug (but the recently deleted posts are still gone).
Weird...

Also, it finally happened : we broke the 33Moz registered barrer the banksters were so eager to maintain for the past 4 months, using every trick in the book (EPF, EPR, OTC deals between participants,..).
Shit is getting interesting once again.

I don't think Ditch ever actually got banned. I think they just had the automod deleting his posts, and anyone that typed the words "Ditch, Jim, Ivan" and a couple others got auto-banned.

WSS is dogshit anyway. The dude that controls it all has completely sold out at this point, and its just another social media marketing company that charges for re-tweets and other bullshit. Their video interviews on YouTube are also a joke. I bet silver moons within the next 2 months and both of those clowns end up not even owning any physical PMs.

Why not? Cash is forgettable unless there's something you really want and Bonds are fucking gay, my nephews got long-term bonds they cashed 15 years later that were worth LESS than what they were when they got them. They were $400 and they ended up only getting about $230 from inflation. It literally would've been better to just stow paper fiat in an envelope, it would have at least retained its (depreciating) face value. Although if I may suggest, a silver proof set of her birth year isn't a bad one either if you want her to keep it. Might be slightly harder for her to liquidate though.

I don’t own any memecoins they’re a scam too. In any of your PM fantasy situations they immediately fall apart when confronted with reality. Look at what they’re rolling out in China now if you want to see what the future of currency is, their currency is starting to go digital and you have to pay for anything and everything with a facial ID scan from a government linked account that has “tokens” in them. Darkness would save us. A totally digitally operating government is very very fragile to whatever threatens data, electricity and the hardware and infrastructure required.

Been looking at this because I really like the design, 5ozt version is pretty awesome. If I have enough money what I really want is either an indian head quarter eagle or a gold sovereign, with Saint George and the dragon. I have a decent amount of silver, but I need more gold.
If neither end up happening I can just work on finishing the silver proof ATB sets. I just need 2012, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. 2012 and 2020 seem to be the most expensive. Might drive out to a new coin shop tomorrow, it's about a 40 minute drive but I got nothing better to do.

my dad just came in and told me russian silver reserves are completely depleted, putin made this announcement recently.

if there was a serious demand for silver from russia and the price, idk trippled or something would this put much pressure on comex or jp morgan?

if it would, and they saw a liquidity crisis due to their shorts getting blown up, would the fed drop the reserve rate to save them?

and if the fed pivots and we see a crash, would this put stress on the massive amounts of debt ukraine is incurring and pressure them to seek a cease fire?

is putin playing 3d chess and should i be looking to buy more silver?

Fun China gold facts!

> China, meanwhile, has bluntly expressed its opinion on state radio. "The US and Europe have always suppressed the rising price of gold. They intend to weaken gold's function as an international reserve currency. They don't want to see other countries turning to gold reserves instead of the U.S dollar or euro." A Beijing embassy cable released by Wikileaks suggests that the Chinese have a policy of steadily undermining Western currencies by accumulating gold. A follow-up document accused the US of "doing everything possible to prevent China's foreign reserve from buying gold."

> In October 2009, the Chinese government received a shipment of gold. In a normal assay, they drilled out bars and found they were filled with tungsten. The serial numbers traced back to Fort Knox. Over 5000 400oz bars were found to be counterfeit... Chinese officials caught and questioned some of the perpetrators. They traced the crime back to the Clinton administration under Robert Rubin's time at the treasury helm.

> In 2012, China increased its gold imports by 780%. Then it went big, importing 1200 tons by March 2013. The Chinese government only makes an announcement of official gold holdings every four or five years. The numbers of official gold holdings every four or five years. The numbers are not valid - China holds far more gold, likely multiples of the stated amounts. Official holdings are 1054 tons, but they imported 100 tons in one month, and just from their Hong Kong channel.

> In a March 2013 press conference, Vice Governor Yi Gang of the People's Bank of China made a puzzling and contradictory statement. China had no plans to increase its gold reserves from 1054 tons, he said, since it's worried about adverse effects to the gold price. He then seemingly contradicted himself by pointing out China's goldmines produce 400 tons per year and the country imports 500 tons per year.

Like absolutely anything else in the world, buy from a reputable dealer. It's literally that simple. China makes nearly everything, including all your electronics that make posting here possible, but people are aren't scared of buying fake iPhones or GPUs when they buy from Apple and Newegg. Stackers attrack a certain kind of moron though, who gets lured into ordering ASEs under spot from a site they've never heard of until they saw it on a facebook ad or God only knows where (literally happened in a /pmg/ this weekend). Then the takeaway these crayon eaters have is, "durrr, chinks only make fake things and pandas are chink things and therefore fake"

Eagles by the slimmest margin.
I love the complete, if minimalist scene on one side. Then there's either eagle design on the other (stylized or natural).
I will say that the new eagle side feels a bit plain compared to the last in terms of space used.
The new dating on the 2023 Maples really makes the big portrait of someone's face work for me.
But for gold coins I like Krugerrands the most by a slim margin. Just feels that much more natural without a a dollar value on it.

You can't always prevent damage when handling your coins, but for the best result, make sure to have engine grease on your hands and don't wear any gloves. A good way to clean you coins after handling is throwing them in a bucket with gravel, rocks and dirt, and shake it around. Work out remaining inconsistencies with a chisel, hammer, or axe. Polish with nitric acid, rinse in egg solution, and store in pvc coin holders. Make sure to add some weight on top of your stack for optimal storage.

I think it is well known that the business model of reddit is that subreddits are like little echo chambers that are fostered like little garden plants and then sold off once they reach maturity. Normally I am just lurking, but paper money and silver both being worthless at the same time is just too ridiculous to not comment it.
Of course the value of silver breaking upside limits depends on it beeing remonetized or not because industry will try to switch to silicium over the next years but then paper money (debt money) will be still worth something.
The other scenario is that the debt bubble can't continue growing because zoomies and migrants turn out to be too retarded to maintain civilization and serve as a proper debt slave to the bankers. Or bankers will let it burst while killing the economy.
Then a diversified physical portfolio containing also self-sustaining farmland is not a bad thing.
