you do realize most people, especially those without diplomas or degrees make like $35k or less at wagie jobs. i would bet that that is the majority of america, or at least a huge percentage.

I make a fixed 50k and a bonus of 15k if I meet my targets
So basically I meet both criterias....
Technically I live in Mexico in an area with an average salary of 25k and a median income of 800usd per month. So it's not that bad, my standard of living is quite high.

Yet I want to start my own business to get to the next level.
Way too risk adverse though so I'll probably stick to real estate in the end ;__;

I would find it difficult to live on less than $50k.
I make $66k and it really only covers the essentials. Like I don't know what I'm going to do when my car finally breaks in a way that I'm not able to repair. I guess I'll just be fucked. I refuse to pay 8% interest for transportation.

Thank you for the correction.
English is not my first language I am always happy to learn so no need to apologize.

But yeah I have a bit of money sitting in the bank, around 50k USD in cash. And know I should at least try something because it's more than sufficient to start a decent business here.
But I'm too fucking scared to lose it.
I already have two flats that we are renting on Airbnb and yield quite a nice passive income. A friend told me I should sell one (I would bet around 70k) to have extra cash for a business venture.
It literally makes me sick to my stomach imagining selling it and losing the money on some failed franchise.
The passive income is too sweet and I have a fucking dragon mentality when it comes to hoarding and piling wealth and possessions.

I'll never get to the next step of being truly rich I guess.
