Because of the trump tax cuts, companies are going to be posting higher earnings in 2018 which will cause the stocks to pop even higher and make my/our returns even fatter. What happens is, when there are loads of new investors who have no idea what they're doing, every moderately significant movement causes either a mass panic or a mass euphoria in the eyes of newbie investors.
