I quit my 85k job last week beacuse there's no WFH like they promised in the interview.
I knew a recession was coming, I knew I only had 5k in savings, idc, idc if i to start car hopping like I did in high school. I'll sell fetenoyl if I have to. I am NOT going back to a job were I can't do hybrid wfh, it's benith me as an engineer. I spent the prime of my youth paying my college to learn shit I could have learned for free sitting in classes with nothing but dudes, the entire engineering building was nothing but dude, half of them indian/arab(most didn't graduate). No WFH is the lowest possible existence a human being can live. I have an interview next week with a space company doing exactly what I have always wanted to do for a company i wanted to work for since i was a teen and I will deny them if they give me an offer and they have no WFH which they probably wont. Mind u I only have 4.5k left after past 2 days and need money, idc. I'll go fucking homeless.
I have 2 fucking dogs, how the fuck to u except me to leave them alone for so long? I can't go in every day. These anti WFH comapnies don't even want me to have a life.

On my side, i have a lot in the bank, but i still wont accept low offers to keep salaries high for my brothers. Sometimes i string along interviewers even if im not interested in the position and then reject the offer saying the pay is too low just to push up the market.

The goal of the fed with the rate hikes is to force workers into desperation and negotiating lower salaries. Fuck that.
