Is the destination of your roadmap a "profitable business" or "sell a product"? Sure! If you're still of the age where you get to make decisions about your career, follow the same or a similar path to what I did. Pick something that has a very high floor, pay-wise, with a strong barrier to entry, and you're good. Don't waste your HS and college years "finding yourself" or partying. Honestly doesn't matter. My major was psychology but I made sure to take all the prerequisite classes required by the dental schools (stuff like microbio, organic chem, etc.). The people who actually have an ear open and want/need advice are not people who've never heard "Study hard" and "pick a job that pays well" before. Maybe somebody literally just doesn't know how to run through a job app process effectively while beating resume keyword filters and getting persuasive letters on people's desks. Or maybe there's a million and one other idiosyncrasies of their possible list of professions that a dentist simply has no idea about.
