I have a few thoughts on this:

1. Having a team can be good for credibility if the team is reputable.
2. No team can also add credibility because of perceived purity.
3. If the mining rewards are good, then that alone can carry it in worst case and also contribute to positive sentiment for the project in the general marketplace.
4. It has gotten this far without a "team," and I don't see why that would hinder its growth in the future if it's already generated this much hype without it.
5. Decentralized organic growth and enthusiasm that is driven purely by holders with no organization or leadership is the strongest and most compelling kind.

Ultimately, what drives a coin mooning is price action, which generates hype and causes FOMO, which can easily turn parabolic or manic

Personally, I am here solely for the PA and the above basic analyses. I don't actually don't give a shit about the technology or know much about it at this point in time, but it looks like a winner, and I like winners.

By some part BTC did well in the context of what I'm meaning because of the fact that nobody could intervene, period. Given enough time, the human element will fuck almost everything up. This holds true for even the largest projects such as Ethereum, which is debated here quite often at least, and again since it has to be said I do hold quite a bit of Eth. I hope this makes more sense. There's a sort of "not your contract, not your coins" at play here, but obviously not to all coins, certainly not to the utmost degree for every project, but the aspect of trust is shaky for me in a decentralized world. You can take loans out against your holdings, without selling them, and if you control the projects you'd be very interested in keeping the price up by any means necessary. See where I'm going with this? Creating a big top 100 coin doesn't make you rich because you sell coins. It makes you rich because you can leverage those holdings in the real world, and since running the backend of some contract in the crypto world is largely unregulated, there's a lot of wiggle room for what would be considered moral, or even aligned to a perceived fiduciary standard (which don't really exist there). If someone wanted to create trustiness in their projects, they would have to go as far as to stream meetings, decisions, and have an "open book" of information beyond the final decisions. The whitepapers hold very little merit, and can only be waited upon by speculators, who put their trust in someone to fulfill. Maybe I'm jaded, but I don't see any of that happening, at least in the long term. The human element is the crux of all of this, and so it runs opposite to the ideal decentralized concept. Otherwise your optimism is admirable and deserves respect.
