Because most of you zoomer faggots would rather pop xannie bars and binge call of duty 24/7 hoping for your twitch stream to take off

20s are when you waste money and have fun
30s-40s are when you save money and raise kids
50s are when you retire

Didn't people use to get mortgages and have a family by 25?

>> No.54723431

because you're either paying ridiculous bribes and rents to colleges and landlords so you're cash poor or in debt or you're part of the minimum wage underclass. for the most part. obviously there are tons of rich kids but no, it was not always this bad. things have been getting progressively worse in america for 23 years now.

People matured faster before, they got kids in 20s too. I got mortgage at 33

People actually usually retire in their 60s and 70s. You’re not even eligible for social security until like 62

Poor fiscal responsibility and high time preference
I hope that a low time preference + aggressive resume building in early 20s will be worth having little social life (it won’t)

Your body starts breaking down in your 30s and you won't have the energy to play with your kids.

The legend says that when Bismarck asked at what age workers were dying, someone answered 60, so he said "let's make 60 the retirement age lmao".

Correction:
0s are when you waste money and have fun
10s are when you learn to earn an income
20s are peak performance, work as much as possible with the least amount of luxuries
30s are less than peak performance, still working as much as possible with the least amount of luxuries
40s are a lot less than peak performance, still working again as much as possible with little luxuries
50s are is just standard performance, working but with the weekends off, can go out for dinner every now and then
60s is when you can finally slim down but still working, maybe 60 hours instead of 70. can afford to buy a 10 year old car at this point
70s are when you can really let of the pedal this time, being able to indulge in the wealth accumulating but still working just incase for a backup. now you can buy new rims for your car and drink bottled water instead of tap water.
80s is for retirement.

Labor productivity hasn't increased since 2008 and the housing market is through the roof, plus inflation. Everyone in their mid 20s has been working in a recession their entire lives.

Because you can't instantly be rich, someone in society always needs to be the poorfag labor provider, which is just mostly people in their 20s
>Was it always like this?
Yes, the post WWII boom was the exception, not the rule. Before the 20th century, every pleb was just perma broke from cradle to casket
