What do you buy

$40 a week on food? You eat oatmeal everyday?

I spend almost all of it paying down my mortgage and other debt. Once that is done, I will save most of it. My ultimate goal is to reduce expenses and build up a buffer big enough that I can quit my day job and basically retire, save for a modest income from my own company that I already have.

I just like nice things and when I have disposable income I upgrade something I have.
>traded out my generic glass for a crystal whiskey tumbler
>bought a $200 umbrella that's basically indestructible and looks gentlemanly as hell
>traded out my depressing plastic bathroom garbage bin for a $50 ceramic one that's actually kinda nice to look at
>got rid of my cringe emo punk jewelry and upgraded to something that's actually valuable

I checked my credit card for the last three months to see what I can cut back on. I spend around 400 a month taking my gf out on brunches and dinners and what not. In the past two months I have spent about 200 on myself buying expensive coffee beans and YouTube premium. I save everything else

Travelling, helped me realise I don't enjoy my home country or the people too much

Good decision. I just got rid of my Spotify subscription a couple weeks ago. Turns out my brain will tune out any ads I hear anyways.

Based. I never regretted spending what some people consider "ridiculous" amount of money on something that I regularly use that's of high quality.

I trade full time. When I end up with extra money I scan what I own and look to see if there is anything I need to replace or upgrade. Usually there isn't. I don't have a lot of material needs. Once upon a time that would leave the money to be used either on a little vacation somewhere which my girlfriend has sapped the enjoyment out of for the most part so I do a lot less of those these days or I host a feast for my friends which even that is getting rarer because I just don't have the energy for it anymore. The end result is most of the money flows right back into my trading account or it gets earmarked as "just in case" money for taxes, house maintenance if something breaks, and things like that. My house is paid off, my bills are paid, I don't really have any debt.

Food. Usually Japanese bbq

I try to put it into either food, bills, later house upgrades I want to do, and I put some back into investments. I was a bit better off last year but some changes with work and whatnot and now im cutting back massively just to get more ahead. for as poor as I am im doing decent. The yard projects keep me busy and im waiting for spring to hit to dig the small pond out.
