I remember when I was doing DoorDash a few years ago, I had to wait in a Wendy’s parking lot for forty minutes. I couldn’t leave the line because it was boxed in. I was irate waiting for this measly order. When I pulled up to the window, the man who handed me my food and asked for my card was a mentally retarded black guy. He had to explain to me that they didn’t have the full order. They didn’t have chicken sandwiches, and they didn’t have spicy chicken nuggets so they put in regular chicken nuggets. Almost no one is doing their job these days. No one is properly trained. Most people are just winging it. I have customers that call me and ask for help. I only get delivery from Jimmy Johns. They have an employee specifically for deliveries so it's not some random app person, the delivery itself is free and if you tip literally $3 they will deliver yours first since most of the people that order it are high schoolers tipping 0. And it's a sub so it won't go cold anyway

You guys need to learn how to use these apps. Nearly 100% of the time there is a huge promo to use. Most markets for Postmates/eats has a $20 off $30 promo going round the clock, plus certain markets cycle flat $25 off promos without any min order. I regularly get $30+ meals delivered and it'll cost anywhere from $5 to $14 depending on the promo. Add in the fact that they fuck up a lot and you can complain and get a discount, the price for delivered food is super low. You can't use it for every meal, but if you're smart you can order huge meals that last for 3-4 days and nearly always order at 50%+ off the price of actually going into the restaurant. If I tip it's either $1 or $2 if they have to leave their car. The other day I ordered a steak dinner from outback for $7 tip and all. Can't beat that anywhere.
