I'm in 2 minds about homeschooling. If you have the time and parenting skills, then it shouldn't be half bad. Would much rather teach my kids the basics of reading, writing, spelling, counting and computers. Much better than whatever modern day schools are trying to teach.

Only issue is that it's much harder to keep kids on track with their learning when they have no pressure from other kids. Where's the competition if it's just you? How can you gauge how well you are doing if you are only competing with yourself? I would imagine it also decreases motivation a lot as well.

(I have no actual experience with homeschool, so these are just my thoughts on what little knowledge I have.)
