This FED had to deal with a pandemic in a post GFC world. I don't think people realize the monumental feat they accomplished here.

Yes every decade had challenges since WW2 for the fed to deal with but you gotta understand the position the US was in in those eras. It's like we had a brand new plane, fuel, perfect skies and everything works. And that plane got us through the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, by the 90s things are noticeably more difficult but the levers all work and everything is fine. The weather is getting worse.

Brothers by the time we got through the GFC in the early 2000s there's a hurricane out there, The plane ran out of fuel and is gliding, The control surfaces are stalling out.

The only thing keeping this plane going is the raw skill of the crew running it. So yea I think once you put into context what this Fed chair and his team have done. We cannot understate how LUCKY we have been over the 5 years under Jerome Powell.
