well that's my problem now... are you me? posted this question last week. Where I live there is no opportunity, I gave up my future and my any chance of having a life because I love and want to be near my family. My life would have been completely different if I stayed in the US and didn't come back to this shithole. But that's life right? We must choose.

I live in a fairly nice place which is a 3.5 hour drive from my family. I think living within a 5 hour drive is a reasonable compromise. My cousin and his wife live like 9 hours from his family but only an hour 15 from hers, so that's also a factor.
