Unless you're in the c-suite or on the board of directors, you can usually buy and sell whenever. Especially if the news is already out.

You can simply wait for the buyout, where they swap your shares for shares in the new company or just straight up give you cash. You can also sell now if you think there's a chance the deal gets canceled or blocked by the SEC/FTC/DOT/DOJ/whatever other woke agency Biden sics on your ass.

How much would they offer me per share though? Lets say company A buys company B. Company B has 1000 shares, and company A pays $10,000 for company B. I have 10 shares of company B.

This is the DC-10. The first wide-body jetliner.
Early operations of the DC-10 were afflicted by its poor safety record, which was partially attributable to a design flaw in the original cargo doors that caused multiple incidents, including fatalities.

As design flaws were rectified and fleet hours increased, the DC-10 achieved a long-term safety record comparable to those of similar-era passenger jets.

The company that built it, however, never fully recovered from its misstep. It later merged with Boeing in 1997.

This was 1971, and right before deregulation so not that early. In fact it was designed for higher volume economy seating for middle-class passengers the airlines were beginning to court.

I should also add among the fatalities this cargo door on the plane caused was the now infamous 1974 Turkish Airlines flight 981 where all 346 passengers and crew died upon take off from Paris, France. A design revision was released and then it happened again in Chicago in 1979 and only by the skill of the pilot managed to save the plane.

People still operate the plane though, in limited cargo service. Most airlines stopped by 1983.

13b/318.87m shares outstanding means a per share value of like $40.77. After hours, JNPR jumped from $30.22 to $36.95 so the market's giving about 70% odds it's not bullshit and the deal goes through.

Sounds reasonable enough to me but you may want to consider whether HP would actually do this and/or whether regulators would block it for some reason.

Its possible they are trying to get in on the AI hype train (I personally don't think its what everyone thinks it is), but yeah I was surprised since I don't really get it from a strategic POV, unless they axe like half of Juniper after the acquisition.
Plus HPE already has some competing companies in its portfolio. This feels like getting acquired by IBM, personally for my career I predict bad things in the future.

Strangely enough, a few years ago there was a rumor that Nokia was going to buy Juniper but it was a really washed out rumor and despite a small jump in share price during trading hours the rumor was quickly squashed.

so let me get this straight. the boeing doomer thesis is that loose screws were discovered in an event that hurt nobody, and the solution will likely be simply tightening them - either one time now due to manufacturing issue, or as part of between flight maintenance indefinitely. and that is going to ruin a company that the US govt says is too big to fail, one deeply entrenched in defense.

Animals are funny like that. My cat is not very affectionate, she likes getting pet but only every so often throughout the day and not for very long. But when I got her spayed and she was recovering and not able to move around so much she would always curl up against me, both to sleep and just in general for like 19 hours a day at least. She did that for about a week straight. then when she healed up she went back to being hot/cold. I miss being able to put my hands on her that much. My running theory is that in her pain and weakness she felt helpless and vulnerable and did that to feel protected from predators and competition. At least it shows me she sees me as something that makes her safer, even if she doesn't need me hardly ever now. Maybe when she gets older she'll be cuddly again. I can only hope.

Adopt a cat. This is financial advice.

Fuckin kek. This is absolute bullcrap. Revenue down 35%, warns that demand is much lower, and all you get is mere 2% down? I forgot... the market is forward looking. So forward looking in fact that bad numbers mean nothing because the company will start growing in five years again.

Amazon down? I highly doubt it since their presence is mainly in the US where consumers refuse to consume any less. They would rather sell their own kidneys than stop consuming.
Nvidia... I don't see the demand for their top notch hardware going down. At worst, they might stagnate in terms of growth. Their margins are already sky high. How much can they keep squeezing?

Also interesting that LG also gave a warning regarding lower revenue and demand. Literally nobody gives a single crap. US tech is too strong.
The final nail in the coffin would be if Apple actually somehow pulled off higher sales and revenue. In that case, I'd go all in on NASDAQ, even at this current level.

Normally I would agree but not in current year. Sure, money printing is contributing. But more importantly you now have so much shit mandated by government when u want to run your business you have to be big and own centralized supply chains to stay competitive. And when you are that big you can also afford to own gov regulatory agencies and dominate the market. And when you dominate a market you can and will price-gouge.
